Wonderful stay in this 18th century coaching inn,
Great hosts Paul and Debs and members of staff Matt, Romilly & James. A lovely room and very good food.
I would highly recommend The New Inn.
The new inn is an excellent place to stay close to rye. The rooms are immaculate. The hosts are friendly and provide excellent service. The food in offer is also very good.
We had a really wonderful time at The New Inn! The location was perfect - right in the middle of Winchelsea which is a quiet, beautiful little town, but only a 5/10 minute drive to Rye.
The room was lovely and really comfortable - one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! The food was great, and the staff were really lovely and helpful.
All in all a fantastic stay - I'd have no hesitations returning or recommending to a friend :)
We have just returned from a four night stay at the New Inn, Winchelsea and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's located right in the centre of the village and parking at the premises was never a problem. The landlord and landlady are a lovely couple and their staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Our accommodation was excellent. The room was extremely clean with fresh linen and towels everyday. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked. Unlike some places I have stayed in, hot water for showering etc was available at all times. We had an early dinner at the inn on two occasions and the food was excellent, very tasteful, fresh ingredients and well cooked. The complimentary breakfast was cooked to order and provided a great and filling start to the day. The inn has a beer garden and food can be taken outside if desired . The place is well located to use as a base for exploring the local area and we hope to enjoy the hospitality again soon. I recommend this place for a relaxing break.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Overall good but bed needs a new mattress and the blinds need to be able to work. Hosts were good and breakfast was great.
This is a period inn. The breakfast and dinner menus are good and the food is delicious. The publicans, Debbie and Paul, are very welcoming.

All was fine until the morning when we put the kettle on the the circuit tripped . Then went to get ready for breakfast and there was no hot water at all. Not a good start to the day.
Breakfast was good and made up for the inconvenience
Nothing was too much trouble for owners Paul & Debbie and Lisa & Charlotte who served our food & drinks were a joy. Room was very comfortable & clean and food was delicious. The bonus of live music on our last night was unexpected and extremely lively and entertaining. Cannot recommend more highly!
