Our room smelled so strong like fresh paint that all of our coats/clothes absolutely stink a day or two later. We also listened to the adjoining room having an hour long marital break down before bed, as the walls are very thin. Other than that, it’s charming.

Good and bad - we travel a lot Good - rooms and bathrooms updated and in great shape Bad: 1- Beautiful restaurant on property - when we arrived - we are told that both nights we are there - there is no reservations to accommodate us - that is ridiculous that they couldn’t accommodate a twosome and the fact that we are guests of hotel 2- the Expedia instructions included COVID 19 results needed to check in - not rue!!! Please update 3- Expedia has mechanism to send a message to property - when we got there we asked them why didn’t they respond - the front desk has no idea about this and how to respond to Expedia message - property should be aware and should respond

We really enjoyed our stay at the White House Inn. The property was comfortable, welcoming, and met our expectations overall. The only downside was the pull-out sofa bed—it wasn’t very comfortable and seemed defective, as it wouldn’t stay up near the headboard to provide proper support. Aside from that issue, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the inn.

Check-in and staff were great. Room was very clean, bed was too soft lumpy and uncomfortable. We were given a handicapped room so no shower curtain and bathroom floor wet from shower. Was told at check-in breakfast from 7:30-a 9:30a. Got to breakfast and 7:30a saw other guests but no food, no breakfast, no staff, nothing. Went to front desk, no one there, all locked up. Called the after hours number, no answer called hotel number no answer, texted another after hours number, nothing. Waited until 7:45a with other guests, nothing. Self checked out and drove into town and bought breakfast. First and last time staying there. Shame because its a really great location and beautiful venue.

We stayed at the White House in two weekends in a row while our house was under construction. We loved that they had music until 9 and that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend.

My stay at the White House Inn was exceptional. The entire facility is breathtaking with artful details around every corner. Having a fireplace in the room is a must during the cold Vermont winters. We ate, drank and listened to live music in the bar. Although I only ordered a salad, the food, drink and staff were all 5 stars. The historic Inn was spotless and well cared for, with evidence of its past lives echoing through each room. Overall it’s a stunning home in a bucolic location with a staff that clearly loves and takes care of her.

There was no hot water the first night.. I let the staff know the next day .. the young man immediately checked room availability and offered 3 options.. he also asked if he could help move us The room was clean. The fireplace was wonderful staff was friendly and accommodating

Room was in good condition. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water took a long time to get to the room. Staff was not that attentive and sometimes hard to find. Kitchen ran out of key ingredients, no asparagus Saturday evening, no yogurt at breakfast Sunday morning.

The room was perfect. Great size, nice and warm and the shower was really nice. The hotel staff was 0/10. Checked in, and wasn't told where our room was or where to park. Had to ask. Have to climb stairs with luggage and there's no staff to offer to help her even walk you upstairs to show you the room (door numbers are in no particular order). Parking lot is not well lit at night, beware. The breakfast should just stop service because you would think work a full restaurant kitchen they would serve something hot for breakfast, but that's a no.
