Creekside Adventures
About this space Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. We have a creek which my kids used to play when when they were little. The kids can easily play in it when the weather is right. We also have a pool area where you can swim anytime. The space This is a basement area with a private entrance. We have it blocked off from our house. We will share our yard and our pool. And also the creek of course! Feel free to explore the yard and creek. Guest access In your area you will have access to your own kitchen, bedroom, two bathrooms and laundry room. The laundry room is nothing special. Hopefully one day, we can redo it. Other things to note We have a pet dog named Bear. He is a medium sized mutt who is very loud when you arrive. Once he meets you he will want to play. He is very friendly once he checks you out. He is literally the definition of all bark and no bite. He can also do tricks for you. The pool is open from mid-May to mid September. It will be closed for late fall and winter. If you need towels for it’s use please let us know. It is used by our neighbors and friends. They are all friendly (for the most part 😆) Our driveway is tricky for some quest, so if you need assistance please ask. We are scheduled to have it paved very soon. Our home is a very busy home at times, so you may notice people coming and going. It’s probably our family. The outside is beautiful but it was damaged by a storm and it is a work in progress. Please watch your step when using the walkways.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a sofa bed.

Great place!
Loved the location, it felt like an estuary! Creek running through the front, felt very private. Lots of sleeping space and the host was very friendly and accommodating. Recommend!

Bathroom too small
The living room and kitchen are very lovely. Bedroom was nice sized. Bathrooms were very tiny. They were not convenient for a large tall person.

Nice
I was very anxious about this being a basement apartment and having the owners living above. But, the way the house is situated, you don't feel at all like you are sharing space. The basement opens to a cement lanai with a table and chairs and a view of a very wooded steep hill (us michiganders would call it a mountain) and a creek. Around back (to the side of the home) was a pool and my kids didn't bring bathing suits. The owners literally say "if you need anything, ask, we may have it." We didn't even need to ask, they came and offered a bathing suit. Inside, there seems to be so much space. There was a kitchen, bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a wide open living space. In the b living space there was a pool table and 4 couches and it didn't even feel crowded. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The only things that I noticed to watch out for... the floor from the main bathroom into the living space has a slight slant. Most people wouldn't even notice it, but me being disabled, it was something i had to be careful about. The walk to the door has a lot of uneven ground and roots. So, its not a place that is handicapped accessible. The driveway is steep and a very tricky turn around. We ended up smashing the front end of our vehicle on the rocks.
If you have kids attending the University, the location is amazing!! It is only .2 miles from our daughters dorm. We couldn't believe it!

Great find!
This was a very clean and comfortable basement apartment, I enjoyed our stay. There was a very minor complication, an extra lock was left locked but our host came to our assistance immediately upon learning of our trouble. I really appreciated having coffee and filters provided, in so many locations that's not the case. And I was glad to meet Bear, the friendly dog. We had four people, sleeping two together and we had plenty of space for us all. Glad we stayed, would return

Relaxing clean place!
Everything was very clean. Plenty of room for me and my husband. Enjoyed hearing and seeing the creek outside. A relaxing little home away from home! Owner was quick to respond to every question.
