It was a great stay! Lovely property with lots of amenities. The room was comfortable, staff however could be alot more friendly. On one occassion i was met with a rude and hostile response from a chef when notifying them that a particular snack buffet item was out. It was summer time, so there were lots of kiddies behaving wild and diving into the pool non-stop, ignoring the no-diving rules. Restaurant service was particularly slow at the Harbour, and the food across all restaurants was average overall. The BBQ restaurant was the standout, while the Italian restaurant was also ok. I am struggling to find any alcohol in the mixed drinks served - we even had shots, and still struggled to find/taste the alcohol. The water park was enjoyable even for adults - overall the property is in immaculate condition.

Expedia stated restaurants were 24 hours no they were not staff took 1.5 to 2 hours to get food to us all reservations were sold out had to tell cleaning people daily to restock shampoos the food was not good

The overall experience was 5/10 because of the staff. From check in to check out, they were not friendly and did nothing to “cater” to the clients. Not even a “welcome to the Rif”, we celebrated a birthday and an anniversary and not one question was asked or anything “special” done. Everything seemed like a bother…. We stood in the buffet area daily with our food in our hands searching for tables to sit and if we sat we then had to go and get our own cutlery etc. The only friendly staff was at the barbecue restaurant, as a Jamaican I really realize that a Jamaican tourist experience is really “world class” compared to what we had here. The Hilton name was tarnished here.

I had to cancel my reservation at Hotel The Rif due to a medical emergency, my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized. I informed the hotel through the touroperator and requested a cancellation. Unfortunately, I never received a response, and to my surprise, the booking was later marked as “completed” as if we had stayed there, which we absolutely did not. This lack of communication and accountability during a time of crisis was extremely disappointing. I would have appreciated at least a confirmation or some empathy regarding the situation. Instead, I feel ignored and let down. I sincerely hope the hotel improves its customer service and handles cancellations more responsibly in the future, especially in emergency cases.

As a former Hotel General Manager, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism. Buffet food was terrible, overcrowded, and unsupervised kids were touching food – I was sick the first night. À la carte restaurants must be booked before 4 PM (same time as check-in) and were “fully booked” the following days, even though they were empty. Staff yelled private gossip across venues, even about who they’d slept with, which was unacceptable. The lobby flooded one evening after a ceiling collapse, upsetting my daughter, and at 4:30 AM a fire alarm filled the hallway with smoke – staff dismissed it as a false alarm until I insisted they check. No apologies, no empathy, not even at check-out. This is one of the most expensive hotels in Curaçao, yet the worst service, food, and safety I’ve ever experienced. This trip was meant to be special before my cancer treatment, but I left devastated.

Great food although there was limited opportunities to enjoy dining outside the buffet. Reservations were required 24 hours ahead and restaurant sitting was available for about 10 families. The views were nice but the beach was not ideal for swimming. The stafff especially at the bars meed to be more friendly and attentive. The time spent waiting for drinks and food service was unreasonable which meant less time to enjoy our vacation moments. Some bartenders favored a few guests over others often choosing to bypass the guests who were ahead in line. This was especially true at the Coco Bar. The exceptional bartender was a Turkish male serving at the Sunset Beach bar at night with a great personality. Entertainment was fair and mostly took place at the neighboring Corendon hotel.

Main food hall was very good, with a wide variety. The hot items at the buffet were often not hot enough though. The room, bed and bedding were excellent. The lighting was a bit dim and could be improved. Staff seemed not very friendly or were only doing what was necessary. Hotel needs an airport shuttle service, more hospitality activities and better entertainment. Overall though, we had a fantastic time snd we were very comfortable!
