Had a bad experience with this property. First I booked for ocean view with balcony, I was looking at bushes. I was told the hotel was completely booked so I would have to wait till the next day. That wasn’t the problem when I went into the bathroom there was BLOOD on the wall and on the towels. I immediately went to the front and told them. They reassured me the room would be completely cleaned. When I returned they didn’t removed the towels because I found more BLOOD on the ones that were supposed to be removed. The floor and mat were dirty… room was missing bug spray, robe and slippers. I will not be returning and will not recommend this property. I forgot to add it was my birthday so they decorated the room for all I went through and sent me a treat that said happy anniversary… I was completely down with this property

The absolute worst costumer service I have ever experienced. Food took forever, they are annoyed when you ask them for anything, even water. You gotta get your own utensils and even napkins. They expect a tip and literally won’t even offer you water. I don’t know if it’s the culture but I have been in resorts all over the Caribbean and this one BY FAR is the worst one I ever stayed at. Also, the adult side isn’t really adults only, there were a bunch of kids everywhere. I hope you like rum and Pina Coladas because they can’t make you anything else, margaritas are a foreign concept to them. If all you want is to go somewhere for the weekend, sure, if you are planning an expensive vacation to the Caribbean THIS ONE AINT IT. Mediocre is the nicest thing I can tell you about it. Good luck.

The staff and service were very unfriendly. No one smiled or was friendly or helpful. They all need to be retrained. My door did not close properly or lock and I asked several times to have someone fix it and they never did. The perception I got from the staff is most of them were very lazy and unwilling to provide friendly and welcoming service. And we did tip! The dining reservations are terrible. You can’t get a reservation for dinner on line then you have to wait on a physical line for the concierge. They can give you limited availability which is ridiculous that it is that inconvenient to get a dinner table. I stayed there 5 nights with 3 people and was only able to get a reservation 1 night. And the restaurant was half empty! Plenty of empty tables there as well as the restaurant next door so how is the availability always full when you ask to book? To avoid eating at the buffet for every meal we had to go off property to eat dinner which is not fair after paying for an all inclusive restaurant that boasts several dining options. Overall I would not return to this resort. Curacao is a nice island with lovely beaches but the service at this hotel really lessened the experience.

Be aware of family rooms at the Rif

Service was oke at the Rif as they were not willing to accomodate a family of 4 in one room or in 2 rooms with connecting doors. After 2 tries we got upgraded so the kids could sleep in a room next door with connecting doors. Other than that a great hotel

Property was clean and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was hard or impossible to get reservations at the BBQ and Seafood Restaurants. We did get into a restaurant without reservation by waiting for cancelled reservations.

The hotel has shared amenities with the mangrove resort so you have to walk across for entertainment. You have to book reservations for certain restaurants the day before and the reservation desk shuts off early so if you come in late evening you wont be able to attend themed restaurants foe 2 nights. The walls are thin i could hair the shower in the room above me. It had its good an its bad. I would recommend but do not expect world class service. I must make mention to the front desk clerk yhoursiie she was a gem and helped alleviate the inconveniences as best as possible

The housekeepers were very good and did a great job in cleaning the rooms. Buffet and restaurant service was excellent, bartenders were not very friendly and would rather chat amongst themselves than serve the customers.

This hotel needs a lot of internal work when it comes to the staff, drinks, and food. My first day there was good but after that it got worse day by day… The check in staff was great as well as the housekeeping. My room was great as well as my sisters. The drinks were weak but the bar staff at the cocoa pool were cool. If we didn’t come with our own liquor we probably wouldn’t have gotten a buzz at all. The food was good but gets cold fast and they did not have a microwave at all to reheat your food. The staff were not helpful and rude in the dining area and at most of the restaurants there also. No one offered us drinks and if you asked them a question or for help they would look at you as if you shouldn’t be asking them for anything. The day before we left I had to practically curse this lady out for a bowl because she didn’t want to help me smh. It took for the supervisor to intervene and tell her to go get what I had asked her for. We had expressed all of our grievances to her but at that point we were over the entire trip. They gave us a complimentary cabana with a personal waitress and drinks which we appreciated however, the damage was already done. I would never go back to that place nor would I recommend it to anyone. The Rif was supposed to be adults only but there was kids everywhere. The taxi drivers are complete scammers they uncharged you for everything but I wasn’t having any of that. This place and its staff has ruined my outlook on curaçao forever.

Moneys worth stay. The food was fanstatic, place clean, wonderful pools and beach. Some of the bar staff was arrogant, needs some training and manners.
