Best Stay in West Jeff Yet!

We come to the area annually to visit our family and only wish we'd found this spot sooner! Clean, convenient and spacious. We have younger kids and a dog and the park across the street was a great bonus, too. Easy access to all that the area has to offer. Kelly was super responsive and helpful throughout -- we can't wait to come back!

This is the second time that I have stayed here. The house is always clean and well stocked. This home was very clean, warm, and very welcoming! This rental is very well appointed and very well thought out! Although it was just my husband and I, we loved that there was a game area for kids and families. The owner was excellent communicating with us during our stay. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed my stay at Ruby Owl. Couldn't ask for a better location. View from back porch was beautiful with great rocking chairs. Loved the front porch swing. Very quiet and a true place for serenity. Close to restaurants and shopping. Communication was excellent and always available. Cabin beds were so comfortable. Home was impeccable. I feel blessed to have had this experience. Many thanks.

Weekend stay in WJ

Great house within walking distance of WJ or short drive for persons who have walking difficulty. Clean property with great outdoor covered porch. Our two small dogs loved the porch area. Check in easy and owner was quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend.

College girls weekend

A group of five college friends (we knew each other 51 years ago at UNC-Greensboro) travel together twice a year and really enjoyed our stay at The Ruby Owl in West Jefferson. The property owners were most helpful and attentive! The cabin was super clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed playing card games in the lower level on the game table. The outdoor deck was fantastic as the weather was perfect and we stayed outside a lot! We all really loved the rustic cabin decor…very well done! Our visit could not have been more perfect, thank you so much!

Thanksgiving / Milestone Birthday trip

I am a travel warrior and stay in many hotels. This was our first VBRO rental. In short this truly has been a wonderful experience from the process on the VBRO website, the property being everything and much more, to the detailed communication from the owner Kelly. - Located in West Jefferson, a little town that has that Hallmark hometown feel. - Centrally located to reach other attractions in Boone and Banner Elk such as Sugar Mountain, Grand Father Mountain, and various outdoor venues to experience. The cabin has that wonderful cozy feel you look for in a mountainside destination. The amenities offered make you feel right at home. If you need anything additional there are grocery stores, CVS, and Walmart just a couple of miles away. - Each room has its own personality - The master suite on the 3rd floor is very spacious with a sitting area and tv - The main floor with kitchen and access to the balcony is perfect - the lower floor or family area as we called it has a roomy couch, tv with soundbar and some games to keep everyone busy. The owner- Kelly is wonderful. Being our 1st vacation rental, we had a ton of questions Kelly not only answered us in a timely manner. She also provided very detailed feedback, suggestions, and her expertise of the area. We are so grateful to have been able to have this 1st time experience at her property. We will certainly keep The Ruby Owl Cabin Townhouse in mind for our future travels. Thank you

Fantastic cabin so close to everything West Jefferson!

What a great place and a great host! The cabin is a duplex; we rented both sides with our friends for six bedrooms. The space was fantastic, giving a very comfortable cozy-cabin feel. Our host was super communicative and very helpful. The location was convenient, and the cabin was very clean. We highly recommend the duplex and the host. We will be back!

Cabin is cozy, clean & stocked with everything you need for your stay. It is very close to town for restaurants & shops. The farmers market was great, purchased several items from the local craftman's. Boone is 30 minutes & Grandfather is only an hour away. I would highly recommend this cabin for your stay in West Jefferson!
