Cape Escape

This cottage was perfect for 3 longtime girlfriends to hang out and catch up with days spent on the close by beaches and cocktails on the deck afterwards! So clean and comfortable! We enjoyed our week here!

Great place, but not exactly what we thought

This cottage is clean and was well appointed to suit my family of five. Nice and close to the beach, and the deck is fantastic for morning coffee or afternoon relaxation in the sun. We spent a lot of time out there. There were a few disappointments though. First, the washer and dryer are in the basement and are shared with the people renting the other unit. We lucked out that it was a single guy so he didn’t use it much. The outdoor shower wasnt really usable because there was this big timing device for the garden sprinklers in it. Also the grass hadn’t been weedwacked/mowed and it felt like we were in the marshes! So we missed having that. We also had to call the realtor for gas for the grill- not a huge deal as the realtor was extremely responsive. I think the place itself is best suited for two families that know each other due to the lack of privacy on the deck. However, it was very nice and it worked fine for us as we did know this ahead of time. Overall if the outdoor shower was a bit nicer, we’d consider renting this again with friends or family to share the other side!

Decent last minute booking

Listed as with dishwasher but none. No clear directions on laundry which ended up being on locked basement outside. No understanding of what flag was for or where private beach was however very near walkable public beach was great. Very clean. Overall enjoyed stay and location for price. Would stay again for off season.
