There was no lift in this hotel. Granted its an old building but we were in a superior room ! Which was outside the main building but to access our room we had to climb a very very steep flight of stairs ...as we our both in our 70's this wasn't ideal...Also on our girst morning there was no hot water for showers or washing...when i enquired i was told the boiler was being serviced....it would have been nice to have been informed before hand

Wonderful stay in a 14th century pub and hotel

What a great find. Lovely rooms attached to a quaint 14th century pub, in the centre of Wells. Such lovely staff, friendly where nothing is too much trouble. Room was well presented, comfy bed, clean and tidy with all amenities required for a short stay. Bathroom a little tired but spotlessly clean. The front building is full of character with quirky features which adds to the charm of the place. Although no onsite parking it would not deter me from staying there again. So convenient to see and enjoy the atmosphere of Wells.

Good location and friendly staff

Comfortable but a little tired. Would be happy to stay there again. Good location but you need to park in a long stay car park, a five minute walk away.

Absolutely great staff. Welcoming and very friendly. Hotel bar is really nice and great range of beers etc. Unfortunately the rooms need some work. -Shower was cold on second morning -No WiFi in room -Bathroom had sewer smell -Hair dryer cold -People loud outside of hotel in beer garden area in the late evening

Fabulous stay

We had a lovely stay at The White Hart, great location, great food, fantastic choice of local drinks and snacks. The staff were above and beyond helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again.
