We had an amazing 4th of July weekend gettaway as a couple. The cabin and location exceeded our expectations. The cabin was immaculate with everything we needed to enjoy the weekend and the paddleboat, 2 paddle boards, single/tandem kayaks and multiple floaties for swimming were an added bonus. Jeff and Karen are amazing and welcoming hosts with passion, care and attention to detail. We really appreciated the tour of the cabin and property at check in. We thoroughly enjoyed the bonfire off the shore with firework displays along/across the lake, the beautiful northern lights in the sky, and fishing off the dock and with easy access close by. Our favorite moments were watching the otter eat breakfast in the water, the loons playing, eagles and watching the sunrise from the bedroom patio with breakfast on the patio swing. We will definitely be back again for another stay and highly recommend.

This was exactly what we needed. It was so peaceful, cozy, and comfortable, and being right on the lake made it even better. We were able to slow down, relax, and just enjoy spending time together.The Jeff & Karen were wonderful- very kind, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. They really thought of everything, and it made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.The girls had so much fun fishing (we caught a variety of fish), hiking at Itasca State Park (we seen a beaver, moth hummingbird, and even a bear from a distance), spotting wildlife at the cabin (otter, eagles, hummingbirds, squirrels, & turkeys), and taking the pedal boat out on the lake. It was so nice seeing them put their phones down and enjoy the outdoors. Bailey & Olaf were a bonus- their dogs were so fun and adorable!We left feeling rested, refreshed, and wishing we could have stayed longer. We’d definitely come back and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway to recharge. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

If we have a problem, Karen and Jeff have ruined all other vacation rentals for us now! This was the best experience our family has ever had with a weekend rental. They were so hospitable, had the best lake amenities, and even had the friendliest pooches (the kids could not stop requesting to let them play). The view was amazing, the bed was amazing, and the communication was amazing. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay and get away from the crowded lakes or tourist traps, make your way here to their place on Elbow Lake. We have already planned our next trip out here.
