Beautiful historic home full of antiques! You could spend hours just enjoying and exploring everything in the home! Very quiet and peaceful area right near the river! Large rooms, clean and beautifully decorated! Loved exploring the town! Communication with the owner was exceptional! Parking right infront of home and a lovely space to lounge in on the back porch! Highly recommend!

What a sweet, cozy place to stay. We were visiting colleges nearby and it was a perfect place to stay the night. We watched the sunset over the river at the end of the block and walked to get coffee the next morning at a funky coffee shop. The house had everything we needed for the night.
Taken from the park at the end of the block. The are benches and swings. Very teanquil.

The pictures show the living room as being very bright and cheerful, but on our arrival all curtains were pulled and the townhouse was rather dark. Even after opening curtains, it didn't seem very bright. At night when we had to close the curtains, my husband took the lamp shade off one of the living room lamps just to have more light. We were slightly disappointed with stay.

Earlier reviews emphasized cleanliness of the property. It was not clean. Let's start with the positives. The bed was clean. We checked in without incident. The negatives. The house was not remotely clean. We owned an old house and were expecting radiator heat, etc. However, there was dog hair everywhere downstairs despite the fact no dogs are allowed. There were dustbunnies on the floor with dog hair. The rug and couch in the living room were covered in dog hair. The furniture is dirty like it came from goodwill and (nasty) throws. The master bedroom had cobwebs and insects stuck to the ceiling. I cleaned the coffepot before I could use it. Every window is covered with cheap dark curtains- maybe so guests can't see the dirt? The kitchen cabinets and handles are gross. The shower curtain has mildew on the bottom. Not sure when it was ever washed. The internet is worthless. You can't watch tv, and thankfully, I didn't need to work while we were there. We booked 2 nights and left after the first night. Hugely disappointing. We would not recommend staying there. No instructions for use of wifi. There was mail inside, indicating that the owner didn't check the property to ensure it was clean before we checked in. We will never visit this area again since we were there for a celebration of life for a family member, but we would like to warn others from staying there. We paid for 2 nights and only spent 1 there. It was miserable, dark, and dirty.
