Somos un pequeño Bed & Breakfast ubicado en Twist Lake, ubicado en el borde del Bosque Nacional de Ottawa y el Área Silvestre de Sylvania. Este es el momento más hermoso para visitar la UP! Serene, secluded lakeside retreat

Wonderful breakfast! Screened gazebo was magical, hosts friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home. Property is simply gorgeous with a lake and amazing flower gardens.

Perfect in every way

What a wonderful, magical experience! Deb and Alan are so kind and welcoming, and that they share their hospitality and beautiful home is such a treat for folks fortunate enough to stay with them. Everything was peaceful and serene, and every comfort that you might imagine wishing for they've already provided (the Kerurig stocked with pumpkin spice pods was a special delight!). Bring your appetite--Deb prepares the most delicious breakfasts; all day fuel for hiking, exploring, you name it. It was wonderful to visit over coffee and to take in the breathtaking beauty of the gardens and lake. Thank you both for making my stay so special and memorable!

Paradise in the Northwoods

We had a wonderful stay at Forest Gardens Getaway on Twist Lake. Very peaceful and serene setting. The hosts are very kind and accommodating. We stayed in their lower level. Very private. Many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Girls getaway for mom and daughters

The experience was beyond words! Debbie and Alan have crew a wonderful place to rest, relax, recharge, and reflect. We spent four nights and wouldn’t change a thing. Nature abounds here and even the rainy weather provided what we needed: our own private contemplation station in the Northwoods! The breakfasts and table settings were something we looked forward to every morning. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity. We highly recommend multi-night stay at Forest Gardens Getaway.

Amazing

If you are looking for a welcoming, clean, quiet, and comfortable place to stay, look no further! My sister and I had to go to the U.P. and just needed a place to rest for the night before heading back down south. We really hit the jackpot with Forest Gardens! Debbie and Alan are the sweetest people ever. Their home is so beautiful and we enjoyed our time there very much. Breakfast was so delicious and their hospitality was next level. They made a fire for us, had relaxing music playing, lots of comfy blankets to use. We also enjoyed watching all of the birds while eating our breakfast. If I go back up to the area. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Five stars- highly recommend!

Debbie and Alan are incredible hosts- one of the best vrbo properties and experiences we’ve ever had! Their home is exquisite - relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable. Their property and gardens are breathtaking- we really enjoyed relaxing on the deck after dropping off our child at college. Debbie’s breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip- so delicious! Book with confidence- highly recommend!

Beautiful home and setting

The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Their home is just beautiful. The scenery is so serene and pretty. While eating a scrumptious breakfast we looked out over the lovely lake and watched ducks and herons in the water, saw a hummingbird on the feeder, as well as squirrels playing. Early morning coffee out in the screened in gazebo, we heard loons! We stayed in the lower level where we played pool and enjoyed the quiet in the evening! Very peaceful place and we really loved chatting with our hosts. Deb makes the best chocolate chip cookies!

A must go for those looking for a relaxing safe haven. Debbie and Alan are wonderful and welcoming hosts, and Debbie’s breakfasts will leave you speechless. The property is beautiful. Me and my girlfriend loved every second being there. The only negative was leaving, 10/10 relaxation retreat.

Wonderful hosts, spectacular views, spacious and private accommodations. And on top of it, delicious breakfast prepared by owner every morning. Location is close to waterfalls and Porcupine Mountains. We will be back for sure!

Forest Garden Getaway is the UP at its finest

We stayed overnight at the B and B and were not disappointed. Debbie is a great host and the property was beautiful. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was easy from the time we arrived. I would 10/10 recommend a stay at their BnB again!

Top 10 reasons ro stay at Forest Gardens Getaway! (Recommendations) #1 Stay at least a day longer than you plan, u will want to stay! #2 Engage in conversation with the owners, Debbie & Alan are wonderful and so comforting and peaceful, just the way the property is #3 They make the best breakfast I have ever had,make sure you are good and hungry in the morning! #4 Make dinner reservations and have snacks for the room. Eatery's are often booked up even for takeout #5 Be prepared to take plenty of pics especially if you are a novice photographer #6 If you are planning a Bachelorette party or wedding shower, renew vows.... this place is an overlooked gem in the U.P. #6 Plan ahead. Book and reserve early. Once here you will want to come often, makes a great anniversary retreat. #7 I'f you or anyone in your party/family has anxiety issues, depression, grief from loss or any issues on the spectrum - this is your place!! My BP dropped after just 1 hour here. #8 Request eating breakfast in the enclosed gazebo! Inside as well... the views are remarkable #9 Take a long walk along the paths, wonders of the trees and animal life are abundant #10 Worth every single cent, a true place of peace and compassion! There aren't enough stars to review Forest Gardens Getaway!!

And there aren't enough positive adjectives in the English language to describe how wonderful this bed & breakfast is! But let me start with the hosts: Debbie and Alan are gracious, kind, funny, personable, welcoming, friendly, and obviously love the work that they do to make sure their guests have an outstanding experience. Debbie is a ball of energy, looking after every detail to make sure your stay is comfortable; she is also an amazing cook! Alan always has a smile and is the mastermind behind the design of the home, right down to the woodworking details, cabinetry, and more. They are both native to the Watersmeet area, so are knowledgeable about things to do, where to find dinner, and more! I miss them both already! Now, the accommodations: well, the first word that comes to mind is "beautiful." I marveled at the design features and the little decorating details that went into making the lower suite so comfortable and cozy. Don't get me wrong--it's a very spacious place! It just felt so homey! I've been telling people that our suite is on par with my northwoods "dream home" fantasy! It's simply lovely! Elsewhere, the fully-screened gazebo is a wonderful breakfast spot, reading nook, or napping place, the grounds are beautifully landscaped (complete with a little waterfall and pond), and there are walking trails for exploring or contemplating or just relaxing. Finally, the breakfasts: Oh, wow!!! Debbie will amaze you with generous, nutritious breakfasts every day. Every breakfast comes with fresh fruits and a small pastry, coffee, juice...and then, the main course could be anything from a yummy breakfast burrito (with spicy hashbrowns on the side), blueberry danish, wild rice quiche, marvelous French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes... Trust me, you will have enough breakfast to tide you over until a late supper--which gives you more time to go exploring or do whatever it is that you want to do in the northwoods! I absolutely loved staying at Forest Gardens Getaway! For those reading this review on Vrbo, be aware it is a bed & breakfast place, and you cannot rent the entire home as Debbie and Alan live in a private section of the building. We knew that when we booked, of course, and it worked out just fine! In fact, I'm glad Debbie and Alan were there because they are simply the most delightful people I've ever met in the U.P.!! Thanks to them both for a fantastic, beyond my wildest dreams experience!
