The Washington Plaza has become my favorite hotel if I need a great price/value offering. Centrally located on Thomas Circle, it is a short walk from the Metro (with direct connection to DCA and IAD), in walking distance to downtown, museums, and restaurants. I also like their Fitness Center. And the staff is super-friendly.

A Great Find

Really appreciated the extra touches offered by the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering assistance at every turn. We are an older couple who had never used Uber. They instructed us on how to use the App and gave us confidence that it was safe and reliable. The hotel itself was attractive, modern, spotless, and conveniently located. I would definitely stay again.

Great central location for everything. However, despite lobby investment, rooms all very outdated and in much need of refurbishment. 3 issues in our room with faulty plumbing, tap nearly coming off wall when putting shower on and a light that kept flickering and dimming all the time. Had to report 3 times before any attempt to sort. We had been upgraded to pool facing room with balcony. However, this was a very noisy room due to nearby roundabout and little sleep was had. We requested to be moved, if possible to a king size bed, and were advised a message would be passed onto the afternoon shift where they would have a better idea re bedrooms. They apologised and said guest experience and comfort was foremost in customer service. We never heard anything else about the move! On the whole, reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a decent meal in the hotel bar the first night, which wasn't overly expensive, and the hotel was OK. However, I doubt I would stay there again if I ever returned.
