Welcome to the spacious English basement studio apartment with a
private entry! Located a mile away from the the capitol, you can travel to spots in DC by the metro (10 min.walk to Noma U), a 10-min. Uber ride, or by the Citybike. Ample free street parking spaces with prearrangement. You will find yourself in a cozy residential neighborhood walking to Whole foods and Trader Joes and enjoying food at the hottest restaurants(Union Market).

This place was fully renovated by a local architect, maintaining its vintage charm with an original exposed brick wall and vintage metal cabinets. It also features contemporary finishes, including large white moldings and fresh walls and floors.

The 600-sqft. English basement apartment has four windows and two glass doors. The ceiling is high above the doors and does not have an internal staircase that lead upstairs. It is a complete separate place. Self-check-in is facilitated with smart keypads and a personalized code.

Ideal for a solo traveler, two adults, or a couple with children, the studio includes a queen bed and a sofa that converts between a twin and full bed.

The fully equipped kitchen has a food disposal, stainless steel gas stove, stainless steel tub dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.

Furniture is strategically arranged to delineate different areas of the home. The office nook works well especially for those who need to work remotely.

The living area features a sofa futon with a large coffee table, providing access to streaming apps on the TV. An industrial modern style bookcase separates the living area from the Queen-sized bed, accompanied by a wardrobe. The bathroom offers a rainfall shower.

The dining area, with a banquette seating four, can be used for family meals. Next to it is a coffee station for enjoying coffee and tea.

Disclaimer: This is an English basement in a row home located in an urban neighborhood, so you may hear neighbors and footsteps from above. If you’re a light sleeper or need complete quiet to rest well, this may not be the best fit.

Great location

The location was perfect. Things that NEED IMPROVED is the bed the mattress was a sinkhole in the middle very uncomfortable. The standup shower would fill with water and would take awhile to drain. Because of the basement entrance the area smelt like urine. I would recommend this to others providing improvements were done. Sorry for this review but we really expected better. Had a great visit to DC and learned a lot.

I highly recommend this location. The space is perfect and comfortable. It is a great central location in DC with easy access to many of the tourist spots. The host was helpful and always quick to respond.

Beautiful, well furnished, well kept studio

Well kept studio! Looked recently updated with newer, high quality appliances. Just enough for what we needed-keurig, teapot, fridge, basic kitchen supplies. Even had a very nice washer/dryer for longer stays & a stove/oven. This studio was only about 20 or so (depending on traffic) away from parking to get to national mall. Whole foods 5 min walking distance as well as many places to eat/drink. Very dog friendly city/area. Angie & her husband take pride in their place & took care of us. Highly recommend!!
