This is a basement apartment in a row house, which means all the rooms are along a hallway, front to back. Starting with the living room when you first enter the apartment, and then the 2 bedrooms, one after another, and the last room is the kitchen, which contains the washer/dryer.
Positives:
Beds are comfortable. Lighting is adequate. Kitchen has the various essentials cookware for light meals, though we didn't really make any more than salads or breakfast cereal. Keurig. Kitchen has large washer and dryer. Laundry detergent provided. Bathroom is basic and adequate.
Negatives:
Musty, moldy smell in the unit. Lots of mold on the brick to the right of the entry door.
Frequent "dhub, dhub" noises from the apartment above, disturbing late at night and starting at 4:30 AM every day! Probably a pet (one or more dogs) maybe playing with a bouncy ball or toy
NO kitchen table or chairs for eating. You have to eat on the couch in the living room, using the coffee table, so very inconvenient and awkward.
The esthetics are fair at best. There are major cracks in the floor along the length of hallway (this is a basement). Top hinge of 1st bedroom door is loose. Same door doesn't close all the way. Floor paint scratched/peeled off in many areas of the apartment. Bathroom vanity door off kilter. Bathroom fan hanging loose. Second bedroom threshold strip is loose, and has sharp screw heads that stick out.
