We had a wonderful time here even with the government shutdown. There were three of us that met up to have a family vacation in DC. My Dad has always wanted to go to the city and my brother and I found plenty to do even though we missed the National museums. It was only a few minutes to drive to the metro to take us into the city without the city prices. The house was tidy and beds were very comfortable. The owner just installed a washer & dryer which was very nice to have since we stayed five nights. My Dad sat outside a lot had said there were friendly neighbors. A great job was done making sure everything we might have needed was available.

House was in excellent condition and the host was helpful. The walk to the metro took about 13 minutes at a brisk pace. Super convenient, but bring your walking shoes! It was an average city neighborhood - not super nice but still felt pretty safe. Overall a great place for the price!
