We had a very pleasant stay overall. One of the biggest advantages of this property is the location — being just a three-minute walk from the train station across the street made everything incredibly convenient, especially for travelers moving between cities. The noon checkout time was also extremely helpful. It allowed us to relax in the morning, go out for breakfast, leave our luggage, and comfortably return later to pick everything up before taking the train. The room itself was very nice, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and stress-free. The only area where there is room for improvement is the breakfast selection. The breakfast appears to be primarily vegetarian, which may not appeal to every guest. Expanding the variety a bit and offering a broader assortment of breakfast options would make the experience even better for a wider range of travelers. Overall, a very good stay and a property we would definitely consider again because of its comfort, convenience, and excellent location.

Check in is unnecessarily complicated, especially if you’ve booked more than one room. Why can’t they just scan your passport like better hotels do?? Only there for 10-15 minutes before the electricity went off for approx 5 hours!! 😳 No one took control of the situation and kept us informed of what was happening, just left to fend for ourselves. No lift/TV/WIFI/AC or light in the bathroom! Finally offered free drinks at the hotel bar- but only allowed 2 SMALL beers or house wine over a 5 hour long wait! We weren’t even offered any drink of our choice- disgraceful! Breakfast was extremely poor- no meats at all and just a choice of 2/3 cheeses. No bananas available, just apples. Selection of bread was poor as well. Wish i’d stayed in bed to be honest! Easy checkout, but still no explanation or apology for the previous days failings. Would not return ever.

Great hotel, i got the room with city view, tidy, well designed, of course the first day i did not have slippers and tooth kit but they took care of it on the 2nd day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is ALDI 5 minutes of walk works till 8pm only. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Vienna. Opera house 4 km away. Has a smoking yard in the 1st floor.

Let’s start with the pros: -The location was GREAT…it’s just a few minutes from the central station which allowed me to use the public transportation with ease. -The staff was phenomenal…they were always helpful and accommodating to what I needed Now let’s get into the cons: -One reason I choose Mooons was because they had a restaurant onsite which offered breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, when I arrived I was told that the menu was vegetarian which was a HUGE disappointment. Had I known prior to booking, I most likely would have found a different hotel. I literally never ate dinner the entire time I was there and the breakfast options were extremely limited. -The room was ok, but could definitely use some adjustments. Lets start with the fact that there’s no phone in any of the rooms SO whenever I needed anything I had to go down to the reception area to request what I needed. -The tv had not one movie channel in English. For a week straight I was forced to watch only the news due to that being the only thing I understood. That issue was a huge problem for me particularly due to me becoming ill and not leaving my room for 2 days. I was miserable not being able to watch anything decent.
