A good place to stay for Sorrento and Pompei

A nice small quiet hotel close to the train station allowing visits to Naples’s Sorrento and Pompei. Hotel is reached by walking up a fairly steep hill for about 10 mins from main town square. Hotel was charming, clean but basic with friendly staff and a simple but adequate breakfast served on the terrace. Good free wi fi everywhere. A nice little garden area to relax. There are some good restaurants and a beach within walking distance and some bars/cafes around the central square. Vico Equense is a typical Italian small town with not many tourists. A good place to stay if you prefer to be away from all the tourists in Sorrento. Pompei and Sorrento can be reached by train which only takes about 20 minutes and costs 2 euros. Taxis are very very expensive so get a price before you get in!

Wonderful spot!

Hotel host was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious. Your choices of coffees made to order, breads, cheeses, meats, cakes, pastries, juices. And they can do gluten free (senza glutine!) which is nice. The host even called to make sure we had found our next hotel! There was also hammocks and chairs to chill and see the amazing view. Warning, the hill to get their is steep so might be harder for some.

wonderful view!

The Via Bonea is a long steep winding road and given the poor street signage we got lost .The sympathetic hotel owner sent a car for us and upgraded us to a large, simple but elegant room with a lovely view of Naples, Vesuvius and the bay. The sunset was spectacular. The hotel, clean & comfortable was tucked away in a quiet residential area. There was a fridge. Breakfast provided ample selection.

Domus Aqueus a Hidden Gem

This little B & B was everything you could wish for. It was spottless, had a fantastic view and the people were very helpul and friendly. We stayed in the largest room with the balcony/terrace it was fantastic. The breakfast was typical continental and plenty of hot coffee on request. The owner Cheero picked us up from the station on arrival and was happy to do so as there are no taxi services. He also returned us to station on deeparture. Close to station and bus routes with pleanty of eateries close by. Vico De Equense is a beutiful little village full of character. Would definately recommend this place to anyone.

Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Zimmerausstattung gut und sauber, gepflegte Anlage, schön gestaltete Zimmer und Räume, das Frühstückbuffett hatte ein reiches Angebot. Leider war die Adresse bei Google Maps falsch vermerkt (falsche Hausnummer), sodass wir nur durch hilfsbereite Menschen das Hotel fanden.

Very Very Dissappointing Place!

- Impossible to find without help from the stuff! NO hot Water, NO Wifi was working, Breakfast was not good (you are not even finished and the service was taking the plates away). I was very very dissapointed from this place and the price for what you get is ridicilous high! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! AVOID THIS TOWN NOT NICE AT ALL!!!
