Traditional Spanish house with private pool near the beach...

El Cortijo del Huerto forms part of a completely renovated, typical Andalusian farmyard. Hidden between plants and trees, it is situated at only 150 m from the magnificent beach of El Palmar. It has a lounge, an open-plan kitchen with dining area, a bathroom and one bedroom with double bed downstairs, and a bed gallery with two single beds upstairs. It is very tastefully decorated, in a modern and rustic local style, and fully equipped with microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, stereo, etc. It has a beautiful fenced garden with a small swimming pool for exclusive use of the guests. From the garden, you have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

We have Dogs,Cats,Chickens...

Next to this property, we also offer two separated houses, Casa de Maria and Casa de Getrudis. They are located on the same premises and share the garden. (El Cortijo del Huerto has its own private garden and pool.)

Conil de la Frontera: Conil is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Coast of Light. On it's 7 mile coast, different types of beaches can be found : open and extensive, small coves surrounded by cliffs. Some of the characteristics of rural southern Spain can be perceived through rich agricultural small holdings. The architecture is alive reflecting fishing, trade, and the religious side of the town, thanks to it's preservation the town has been declared a historical artistic monument. Conil is rich in traditions, it produces craft work, especially pottery. The gastronomy is abundant from the fertile fishing and farming grounds.

Vejer de la Frontera: This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns, not only in Andalusia, but in Spain. It has been declared an historical artistic monument, and was awarded the'Premio Nacional de Embellecimiento'. Thanks to it's privileged location, on a hill 190 meters above sea level, it offers an amazing view of the surrounding countryside. The twisty narrow streets are a walk through the rich and varied history of this town. Particularly prominent is the influence of the Arabs who held the town for 593 years.

Cape Trafalgar and Zahora: From the famous lighthouse of Cape Trafalgar direction north-east you arrive at the beautiful white sand beach of Zahora. Because of the lagoons formed at low tide, makes this a popular beach for families with small children. Lots of fun can be had snorkeling in the crystalline waters.This area is frequented mainly by nature lovers who come to enjoy the beauty and tranquility it has to offer.

Fantastico

Cosy and comfortable cottage close to the beach, designed with much charm and style by Juan Antonio. Highly recommended, but please don't book it as well never get it again. Hasta la próxima Juan Antonio, muchas gracias.

Lovely place

The garden and pool are exceptionally nice. An enclosed space, well cared for and surrounded by trees full of bird song. The house is full of character with artistic touches all around. We were four adults, which in retrospect was not ideal as one of the bedrooms is open plan with the communal area and gave little privacy, and also has no storage space for clothes. Would be better for two adults with children.

Great rural hide out

We stayed with 2 adults and 2 young children in April for a week. El Palmar is not very lively during that period, but exactly to our liking. The beach is 5 minutes by feet and is a very long strip stretching for kilometers to both sides. Some surfboard rentals are already open (main activity here on nice shorebreak) and some restaurants, as well. Not the best quality for money, though. Better cook at home. There is a small supermarket in El Palmar (veggies not best quality) and a large one in Conil. All kitchen gear is present (except an oven and teapot). Eating outside is a pleasure in the spacious garden. There is even a BBQ to grill the sardines from the local fishery. The swimming pool is 4 x 5 m and non heated: a refreshing dive in April, but probably welcome in hot summer months. It is located in the back of the terrain of the very sympathetic Señor Cruzado, with parking space for your car. Dogs, cats and chicken add to the rural flavor, much to the liking of our kids. The attic with a low roof is a good place for 2 kids with its 2 separate beds, but is not a separate room. So if you want to test the stereo in the evening (CD with USB access available), the kids will be witness. We did not watch television, but usually for us vacation is a good time for watching a DVD (however, not available). So we read a lot instead or just enjoyed the garden outside with some local wines. In short, one of the best places we ever stayed in because of privacy, tranquility, easy access to the beach and facilities.

Vacaciones inolvidables

El Cortijo del Huerto es una casa de ensueño llena de preciosos detalles en cada rincón. Decorada con un gusto exquisito, la limpieza es impecable y la ubicación inmejorable, a 5 minutos de la playa, restaurantes y supermercado. El jardín y la piscina están perfectamente cuidados. Se respira paz y tranquilidad, en plena naturaleza y los animales son adorables! Juan Antonio es el perfecto anfitrión: encantador, atento y con una buena energía q te transmite desde el principio. Gracias Juan, Mila y familia por estas vacaciones inolvidables! Esperamos volver pronto!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche bei Juan verbracht. Den Kindern haben besonders die Hunde, Katzen und Hühner sehr gefallen. Das Haus ist nahe am Strand und bei Restaurants und Geschäften. Sehr praktisch für Familienurlaub und Juan ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber.

schönes Haus, schönes Grundstück im künstlerischen Ambiente

Juan, der Gastgeber, ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt nah am Strand (ca. 3-5min zu Fuß) so dass man schnell die Strecke zurückgelegt hat und ist weit genug vom Strand entfernt, um abends seine Ruhe genießen zu können. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt. Unser Highlight ist die vom Wein überrankte Terrasse. In der Siesta war es dort immer schattig und es sah fantastisch aus. Katzen, Hunde, Hühner sind die täglichen Begleiter, das hat uns sehr gefallen. Es ist eine sehr ge-chillte Atmosphäre und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Juan hat auf dem gesamten Areal kleine und große Kunstwerke erschaffen, die zu einer Entdeckungstour einladen.

Cuando lo tienes todo

No puedo estar más contenta con la estancia en esta casa. Simplemente: lo tiene todo. Mis hijos y nosotros la hemos disfrutado al máximo. Piscina, animales, playa a 200 metros, silencio sólo intimidó la interrumpido por los cacareos de la gallinas, detalles por todas partes... Y un largo etcétera. Juan Antonio es el perfecto anfitrión, atento, cariñoso y disponible a cualquier hora. Ojalá podamos volver pronto!

Beautiful and quite cottage

What a fantastic stay we had at Juan's lovely cottage! Built and decorated with love. Set in a private, walled garden, only ''disturbed'' by the sound of animals all around you. The town and beach of El Palmar is only a small walk away. Specially in this period of the year, autumn, it is a very relaxing place to be. Wide surfing beach, supermarket, brilliant butcher and don't forget to pick up your fresh cake at restaurant El Cartero. We will be back!

Estancia maravillosa

Hemos estado una semana en esta casita que parece sacada de un cuento de hadas. Cada día había algo nuevo que descubrir: las gallinas, los perros, los gatos, el entorno, el silencio... hacen que tus días sean especiales. La casa es preciosa, llena de detalles bonitos y decorada con mucho gusto... La limpieza, que para nosotros es muy importante, es inmejorable. El jardín está igualmente cuidado con mucho mimo, como cada rinconcito. Juan Antonio y Mila son encantadores, amables y dispuestos siempre a ayudarte en lo que sea. Nos ha encantado encontrar un lugar con tanto encanto al lado de la playa, en el que nos hemos sentido como en casa. Muchísimas gracias por todo, esperamos volver el año que viene... Hasta pronto!

Sehr schöne Location nahe am Strand

Das Haus ist originell und stilvoll eingerichtet. Der Garten und Pool ein Traum. Der Strand ist nahe und hat gute Restaurants. Juan ist ein guter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Lediglich die Betten sind für "ältere Herrschaften" ein wenig zu klein und zu hart.

Wunderschönes Bauernhaus

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in dem schönen Haus.wir haben die Tiere und die Ruhe sehr genossen.Das Meer und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind fussläufig in 10min erreichbar. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.Allerdings wäre ein Schrank oder eine Kommode im Kinderzimmer noch ganz gut. Aber es ging auch so.Antonio ist ein sehr diskreter Vermieter, der alles sehr künstlerisch angelegt hat! Man entdeckt immer wieder Kleinode! Das Wetter war angenehm warm,nur leider hatten wir viel Levante. Und da ist es sehr windig auf der Terasse. Wir haben uns dann in dem wunderschönen nahegelegenen Ort Vejer de la frontiera ein windgeschütztes Plätzchen zum Essen gesucht. Dort gibt es mehrere tolle Lokale und Tapasbars! Rundherum eine tolle Gegend , tolles Meer und wahrscheinlich die schönste Unterkunft!,!!

Ein wunderschönes Häuschen, liebevoll dekoriert, hat alles, was es braucht!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wir haben auch gelegentlich gekocht, Grundausstattung war gut. Da es jetzt im Februar / März noch teilweise kalt gewesen ist, sind wir froh um die kleine elektrische Heizung im Schlafzimmer gewesen. Gesamteindruck ist super gewesen.
