Hôtel récemment rénové, situé dans un quartier calme de La Valette, tout en étant à quelques minutes des rues animées. Les chambres situées au rez-de-chaussée manquent de fenêtres et de lumière naturelle. La responsable de l’hôtel est attentive et à l’écoute des clients.

Perfect base for exploring the city and surrounding areas. Situated in a quiet street, no noise at night and only a few minutes walk from the centre. Great variety of breakfast options, all yummy. Very clean and modern hotel, staff always friendly and working hard. Pool area is a bonus, lovely place to cool off after sight seeing. Good cocktails at the pool bar! Would highly recommend if visiting Valetta.

This hotel was perfect, it’s in an ideal location to get to most of the bars, restaurants as well as the tourist attractions! The hotel was clean, very modern and the room was very spacious, very clean and very well presented, we loved the little touches such as the robes, slippers and the little hamper of stuff you may need such as a vanity kit and moisturiser. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating, friendly and happy to help every second of the day! The pool was a perfect edition, it was very clean and the area around it was always presentable! The rooftop bar staff were amazing! The bar Itself served both food and snacks, with the staff bringing them over to where you were located! If there weren’t any towels available upon entering the pool deck, the staff were happy to help and radio down for some to be brought up, they then brought them over to you at your sun lounger or table! All in all, we couldn’t pick any faults with this hotel! It was perfect for us! Thank you for a lovely stay.

This small hotel was very well located for visiting the old city of Valletta. The reception staff were most helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable and very quiet.

We had a lovely stay at San Karlu in Valletta. The hotel is tucked down a charming alleyway in a traditional building, which adds to the charm. Everything was super clean and well looked after. Our room was a great size for a few nights – comfy bed, good aircon, and plenty of hanging space. The rooftop pool was a real highlight — the perfect way to unwind after exploring the beautiful streets of Valletta and the Three Cities. The only downside was the breakfast — a bit limited and cramped, but honestly, for the price point, you can’t expect everything. There are plenty of fantastic cafés nearby for a proper coffee and pastry fix. The location is quiet at night but within easy walking distance to all the action for dinner and drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic little hotel at a great value. We’d definitely come back!

Me and my girlfriend visited Malta for the first time over half-term and stayed at the San Karlu for three nights. The hotel was lovely, with nice rooms and a delicious breakfast. The pool was also lovely to visit, with the rooftop bar a bonus! The only feedback we'd give is that the pool could do with being heated, especially for when the sun goes down, and also the railings around the pool could do with glass or perspex layer to block out the wind - it can get a little chilly on the roof! Otherwise a lovely stay and we'll be back again!

The hotel was lovely, very clean room was perfect good size, loved the dressing gown with slippers, we had a safe and cooler fridge, staff very friendly, breakfast was great a good choice, if there was anything we needed staff were very helpful. Perfect location easy to get about, walking distance to the square restaurant and bars, shops… Definitely will recommend this place and if I was to go back to Malta I definitely would stay at the same place.

The property was spotless. Breakfast was good. The location was within walking distance too many attractions and to the ferry. The only drawback about Valletta was the walking up and downstairs. But that had nothing to do with the property. I would stay there again. There were lots of great restaurants and nightlife very close to the hotel. But the hotel was extremely quiet.

Nice cosy place away from noise but near main area

It's a lovely cosy hotel near the main attractions of Valletta yet quiet enough. The convenience store and pizza place Sally port is near enough to grab quick bites and groceries on rainy day. The reception staffs are nice and friendly and willing to help (water bottle refills and guide tips on getting around). The breakfast staff manager in suit was helpful and attentive. Housekeeping staffs were clean and prompt. Will recommend this for stay in Valletta

Wonderful experience in Malta.

Very happy about our stay at San Karlu Hotel. The rooms were spacious and modern with all amenities. The breakfast was outstanding and the employees were great. The hotel was centrally located surrounded by historic buildings and great restaurants.

Overall, it was a great stay. However, the area within a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel felt a bit quiet and secluded, with quite a few vacant houses around. It’s worth being a little cautious when coming and going.

The hotel is located in a quiet pedestrianised location (so taxi’s cannot get directly outside the front door but the staff were very willing to help with our luggage) and it is convenient for exploring Valletta on foot (a particular gem is the nearby Manoel Theatre which runs a tour with an actor as guide). The hotel is modern inside and we chose a room with a balcony which made a big difference for our 10 night stay (Malta has high humidity). Staff were very helpful and cleanliness was excellent. The inclusive breakfast was very good although the breakfast area is on the small size (space is generally at a premium in Valletta). Really enjoyed our stay helped by booking some heavily subscribed events before arriving (e.g. ‘Underground Valletta’ and ‘Valletta Resounds’ which is also a good way of seeing the Co-Cathedral as well without the queues), We also bought a ‘Heritage Pass’ and a bus pass (which includes a boat tour of the harbours and some ferries e.g. to Gozo although the bus timetable for some of the longer routes should be taken with a pinch of salt). The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty within easy walking distance. Particularly liked Gambit (Old Bakery St.) and Ambrosia (Archbishop St.) although advance booking is probably sensible.
