The unit was truly unique and I am glad to have experienced it. However I would have a hard time returning or recommending it to others for these reasons and unexpected surprises.Directions - The right turn off of old hwy 61 was hard to find because the street sign at the intersection on that side of the road reads 'Old North Shore Rd' or somthing like that. The fully functional kitchen did not include a freezer. No salt and pepper which is usually a given in a vrbo, Bedroom #2 is actually a bed in a loft overlooking the main level, whose only access is via a tall, very steep ladder. Very dangerous for people in their late 60's. This was not specified on the vrbo site,Poor lighting - none in the loft and one light on the main level. We had to leave the bathroom light on all night so we could see to get down from the loft.Biting flies and some sort of flying insect (non-biting midge?) inside the unit. Literally hundreds of dead midges piling up on the floor, door and in the bathroom. Also in the hot tub outside. We rarely had the unit door open so they had to be coming in through some other opening. No broom to clean up them up. No flyswatter. The main door was hard to open and close with the key. We figured it out!The bathroom was awesome except for the black ramp sink which collected toothpaste when finishing the job of brushing one's teeth.Well there you have it! I think the place is promising and we will certainly never forget it!
