In the winter, head to Sugar Bowl, just five miles away, for powdery fun on the slopes. Or head to Northstar, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows, all within 14 miles.



During winter months, the stairs from parking to walkway can be slippery and covered in snow. There is an incline from the parking area to the cabin, so please use caution.

Very cute cabin and was nicely furnished with wonderful views of Donner Lake. We really enjoyed the wood decor and vaulted wood ceilings. The bedrooms were cozy and the loft was very comfortable. The outside deck made for comfortable mornings sipping coffee and evenings having dinner viewing Donner Lake. The cabin has pretty everything a family would need to feel at home. My only suggestion would be to update the sheets to cotton and some of the pots/pans are a bit tired. Overall, a very nice place and would definitely come back.

A truly enjoyable setting. The facility was clean and well appointed with plentiful kitchenware, dishes, towels and linens. Cold natured may want to bring extra blankets.Fireplace worked ceiling fan could not figure out. TV and Cable one day the next day was not functioning. Could not get DVD to work. Suggestion: Tag remotes with an ID that indicates what it controls or is associated with and instructions on how to use.Already planning a return trip.
