I have very mixed thoughts about this place. The service you receive depends on the staff member - both great attention and other times it was so-so.
The good: the location is gorgeous - you cannot ask for better picturesque places in the area. The property concept is also beautiful and very well integrated into its surroundings. The included breakfast was good. Upon arrival, the attendant assisted with my bags as the terrain is pretty tough to carry luggage around in.
The not-so-good: I was not aware that a lot of Uber drivers consider this area pretty remote. I wish I had known this because I almost missed my flight to the airport. Luckily, one of the staff members assisted me in finding a private driver. On one occasion, I ventured off to a small town where I was almost stranded due to the same issue - called the hotel and while I made the mistake of calling their room service number, the woman who answered said she would connect me to someone who would help. No one ever called me back - that was very disappointing. Food was hit or miss - some was good, some was questionable. Twice, I found hair in my food. The chicharrones tasted bad- I couldnt get myself to eat more than a bite because I was afraid to get sick. The cheese they use for pupusas was different than I’m used. Lastly, I came home with a ton of bug bites. They really need to perform extermination in the rooms. I found a brown black widow my son pointed out, so I killed it. I wanted to love it, but….
