Great place!!! Highly recommended

We loved this place! The house is very cozy, clean, there is a river at the backyard. Totally amazing! You can go for a walk, go to the river, etc. We also spent some time by the fireplace during the night. Just amazing!!! 🤗✨

The area is really geared for summer tourists, so coming in December means we missed that. Really enjoyed the skiing/snowboarding at Crystal Mountain resort which is 10 minutes away. The slopes aren't as expansive as the typical ski areas out west, but not having to fight crowds was a nice, relaxing time.

This is our third year staying at River Pine Lodge. David is a great host, easy to communicate with and he provides very informative communications of activities, and details of the property and including easy to follow check in and check out instructions. The property has all the immensities needed for the most perfect stay. This updated property is a slice of heaven from the beauty of the outdoors, beautiful views of the trees and calming sounds of the betsie river! If you’re looking for a relaxing and perfect vacation, look no further. You won’t be disappointed.

Family trip Up North to get Christmas tree

We so enjoyed our time here , The house was cozy and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the grounds beautiful. The fireplace and firewood added to the experience. David was very helpful and accessible.

Girls trip vacation.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the woods, river and the outdoor and indoor fireplaces. We didn't do any sightseeing this trip, just a relaxing time in a beautiful place. We hope to go back next year.

Family fun at the cabin!

This property has it all! Upon booking, communication with the host was wonderful. David had lots of suggestions of things to do and see in the area. Check-in was a breeze! We arrived earlier than expected and David was able to accommodate an early check-in for which we were so grateful. We were so incredibly impressed with the property! The river was shallow to enter and our 2 and 4 year old loved wading. The house itself was fully stocked with linens, towels, paper goods and a fully stocked kitchen. All you need to do is show up! If this rental is available, book it! David, the host, went above and beyond to help us and was the most responsive and accommodating host.

River Getaway

Had a great stay at the river lodge. We have stayed at several places on the Betsie River and this was the nicest yet. Our favorite part of the stay was spent in the screened porch playing games and Relaxing. River access is great and we enjoyed tubing and fishing. The lodge is great for day trips. We visited Frankfort and the beach there; Sleeping Bear Dunes; and the Arcadia area. For restaurants we recommend Iron Fish Distillery around the corner from the lodge; Shipwreck cafe in Empire, Copemish Kitchen and Coffee for great breakfast and the Roadhouse Mexican bar and grill in Benzonia.

Beautiful Escape

Our family of 10 really loved this cabin. We had 3 families with 4 kids ranging 2-9 years old. The cabin was very clean and up to date. The grounds were amazing and the river was a great addition to the property. Little to no bugs at nighttime and very quiet area to enjoy your peace and tranquility. AC worked great. We really loved everything this property had to offer.

Highly recommend

My family enjoyed this short getaway. First night there we had a storm roll through and knocked the power out. This property was equipped with a Generac Generator that gave us a peace of mind through the night with no power. David was very responsive to all the questions/concerns that I had. My family is already planning the next trip back. Thank you David for all you did for us!!
