"An interesting stopover from France to Italy, Although a little out of the way, the village was worth the drive. Our room was small but we much enjoyed the little balcony which gave great views of the mountains. We also enjoyed the outdoor exhibition of local artist Samival, in the grounds of the church. Walkers would love the proximity to good hikes. We were a little shocked to be told that breakfast was only served between 6-8am, despite prior published information to the contrary. The evening meal was simple but tasty with no choice of menu (a baked cheese with potatoes and charcuterie). It was sufficient but would have preferred the mustard dressing, which had been thickly poured on the lettuce salad, to have been offered as an option. As such, for me the salad was inedible. Staff were friendly and efficient though waiting staff seemed anxious to clear away. Our evening meal was at 18.30 and we were the last to leave at 19.30. No loitering here!! Overall, recommend this hotel for walkers, perhaps less so for a romantic getaway, (although there was a nice lounge with a fireplace which looked inviting."
