Convenient and Value in Toulon

Great value. And great location, across the street from the Toulon Train Station. And a very good breakfast. The room was small but very comfortable, given its size. The shower was great. Lots of hot water and strong water pressure.

Top! Location, rooms and staff...

Great location, very friendly staff. Parking in the train station parking right next to the hotel with reduced rate. Nice breakfast. Art prints in the lobby and room walls. Only thing to improve was the air conditioning which is dated and sometimes very loud.

Great Stay

We had such a great stay at this hotel. We booked it for convenience to the train station, and were pleasantly surprised at the ease to all parts of the city...and we walked!!! The front desk was so helpful to us and the room was clean and spacious. A quiet hotel even across from the train station. I would absolutely stay here again when we return for another visit!

Location across the street from the train station is very convenient, and the staff were helpful and friendly. But the room was very disappointing. Very small and plain, no hot water in the shower - it was barely lukewarm - and no blanket on the bed, just a sheet! Even though the weather was warm, the hotel is air conditioned (one of the reasons we chose it) and without a blanket, even a light one, I was uncomfortable. Plus both the bed and the pillow were lumpy, so not a great night's sleep all together. We were supposed to return for a second night next week before taking the train back to CDG but cancelled our reservation and booked elsewhere

A very nice, convenient hotel

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Grand Hotel de la Gare. I think that for the price, I was expecting less. The room was comfortable, roomy, and very clean. I didn't have all that much interaction with the hotel staff, but in my experience, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel doesn't have a lot of frills, but if what you need is a comfortable bed and a good shower near the railway station, it's the perfect choice. I plan to stay there again when I need a room in Toulon, and I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends.
