The Downstairs Barn at Palma Gora is one of just 5 apartments with spacious communal terraces and a swimming pool, converted from a 150 year old stone farmhouse and barns in the village of Bogdasici above Tivat.

Built in stone in keeping with the area, the apartment features all mod-cons, with a spacious open plan living dining area with cable TV and Free Wifi, a well equipped open plan kitchen with built in appliances, 2 bedrooms (1 Double en-suite, 1 twin) both with original stone feature walls, 2 bathrooms and an unusually large wraparound terrace on 3 sides with spectacular sea and mountain views.

The living area has 2 comfortable sofas, a flatscreen tv with cable TV and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs for entertainment, and Wifi is provided throughout. With patio doors to the front of the property offering great views, and access to the terrace, which is over 9m*3m! The Kitchen includes a full size Fridge Freezer, Full size oven with 4 ring ceramic hob and extractor fan, Washing machine, Dishwasher, Kettle and microwave, with an extensive array of cooking utensils, pots, pans, cutlery & crockery provided.

The most popular feature of the apartment is the terrace on 3 sides, allowing guests to have sun or shade as required, a dining table and chairs, sun loungers, and a pergola for extra shade. From the terrace you have amazing views of the sea, Island of Flowers, and the surrounding mountains and countryside.

The apartment shares a large dining terrace with stone built BBQ and summer kitchen, very spacious sun terrace with sunbeds and a unique swimming pool (9 x 4 metres) with just 4 other apartments.

Situated at the end of the road the area is quiet and peaceful, yet close to many amenities. There is an amazing local restaurant less than 1km away down the hill - really reasonable and massive portions , and a range of supermarkets, beaches and attractions within 5-10 minutes drive.

A taxi into the Local town of Tivat with shops, restaurants and bars for every taste and budget is 5 to 10 Euros, including the spectacular Superyacht Marina of Porto Montenegro.

Other local attractions include the World Heritage Site of Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor), Kotor Old Town, Perast and the Ostrov monasteries, walking and hiking trails across the Vrmac and Lovcen mountains, Lovcen national park, and a variety of beaches and beach clubs.

She worked as a chef on private super yachts for eleven years, owned a Thai restaurant in Mexico and has cooked in many exotic locations. Having sailed into Boka Bay one day she was so overwhelmed by the natural beauty that she decided to settle here in Montenegro. We are of course delighted that she chose to buy a part of the farmhouse next to us.
Elaine can shop, prepare and present meals for you if you have had a tiring day out or simply want to treat yourselves. Look at her website , Cooks of Kotor, to see the range of services on offer but she does get very busy during the peak summer season so be sure to book early on .
In addition to providing a private chef service, Elaine will prepare a meal for your arrival and leave it in the fridge so you do not need to worry about cooking on the first night.
