You go down with a towel, come back for lunch looking at the sea from the terrace, and after the siesta you go again.

Tavernes beach is nearly two kilometres of golden sand with a Blue Flag, lifeguards in summer and beach bars at the water's edge. It is a local beach: busy on summer weekends, quiet the rest of the year.
Supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and restaurants are five minutes on foot. Gandía is fifteen minutes by car, Valencia under an hour. Inland: the Valldigna valley, a 13th-century monastery, the Corbera hills.
Quiet street. People come here to hear the sea through an open window.
