This dog-friendly condo in Dollar Hill II is a perfect year round getaway. This one bedroom, plus loft comfortably sleeps 4.

This cozy condo features a loft with a queen bed and ensuite private bathroom and a downstairs bedroom with 2 twin beds. Enjoy the convenience of being close to Lake Tahoe beaches including the dog friendly, Lake Forest and Skylandia beaches. The seasonal deck with BBQ and seating is perfect for outdoor gatherings. Stay warm and cozy by the wood-burning fireplace during the colder months. Located in the Dollar Hill Two Condo Association you will be about 3 miles from Tahoe City with access to many restaurants, bars, shopping, and the Tahoe City Marina where you can rent Kayaks and enjoy other water sports. You can even take the bike bath into town if you don't mind pedaling back up Dollar Hill!

The upstairs fan was badly out of balance so it shook all night. Only one window far away upstairs to help try and cool it. But it is a quaint cabin with an excellent kitchen. The stay was nice just warm upstairs.

Pros: clean; convenient; inexpensive; pet friendly; totally functional. Cons: cramped and a little badly organized layout; road noise from highway; cheap stuff (utensils, sheets, furniture); some grouchy neighbors.

Awesome ski cabin!

Our family really enjoyed our time at this place. It was the perfect size for a family of four, great location for skiing palisades, close to restaurants, but still had the feeling of being in a serene environment. We loved the pool table and hot tub after hitting the slopes all day. I wish there were a few more kitchen items (blender for making soup, oil, salt!) but overall the kitchen was well stocked.

Very efficient!

Small but has everything you need. We had two couples and a 5 yro and one small dog. The place was small but worked great for a two night trip. The kitchen is reasonably stocked. Heat worked great. The upstairs bedroom was a loft open to below. The cleaning was ok - not gross, but a good deep clean would take this place from great to excellent.

The condo was very nice. The master bed is only a full size. Too small for us. And it got quite warm in the loft. No ac is a bummer on hot days. And there is NO hair dryer. Other than that it was in a perfect location and the back deck was amazing to bbq and hang out. And there’s a doggie door! There is one snotty neighbor who told me not to let my dogs go in “ her yard”. It’s an HOA and it was common area. I obliged and walked away. Everyone else was very nice!

Great, easy getaway

Stayed for 3 nights. Home was incredibly clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable and everything was comfy for our family! Parking was easy and felt very safe. Pool was clean and simple to access. Property managers were thorough and very pleasant to work with. Location has good access to both Tahoe City and Kings Beach. There is a biking path across the street if you bring your bikes. Great bakery Sugar Pine Cakery for coffee and delicious breakfast burritos, pastry, coffee, etc - nearby. Home was quiet- although there is some road noise that we barely noticed. There is a grill and plenty of dish-ware, pots, pans, cutlery. The complex is very quiet and a mix of mostly year rounders with some short term rentals. All the people we met were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay again someday.

Great off beach location

Nice complex with access right off main street. Small condo, the bunk beds could use some new mattresses, but other than that, no main complaints. Great access to all the towns and the lake.

Convenient and pretty comfortable

It was a good location and it was spacious enough for our family of 4. It was clean enough and a short ride or drive to Tahoe City. It had plenty of pots and pans to cook with but make sure to bring your own seasonings. There was just a smidge of salt and pepper left. The bunk beds were uncomfortable, so much so my kids complained the futon mattress that was on the top bunk was lumpy and hard. I felt it and it was pretty bad. We had to add our own foam pad we had and extra blankets to improve it. No AC so it was very warm inside. I was told there would be two fans and there is only one in the loft. At night it was warm and even with the windows open there isn’t good air circulation. It was in the 80s inside at night . The dishwasher worked but the bottom rack was annoying as it would fall off the track every time you pulled it out. We ate at home a lot so that was irritating. The dog park is a woodchip field overgrown with cattails.
