Experience a getaway in the ideal mountain retreat for your upcoming mountain holiday. This stunning location is situated on 40 acres, just a brief 10 minute drive from downtown Winter Park. It is pet friendly, constructed off the grid in 1998, boasting 3,884 square feet of space, and can comfortably house up to 11 guests.
The spacious layout of the family room, dining area and kitchen, along with the loft, provides guests with a delightful living space in the cabin. Vaulted ceilings adorned with exposed timbers and numerous windows add to the charm. Four different access points lead to outside decks, such as the front entry with porch swing, the wrap-around deck with an outdoor hot tub and charcoal grill. Inside, off the upstairs loft, is a balcony which offers a stunning view of the Continental Divide and Indian Peaks. Staying at Miles Behind will surely leave you in awe of the peaceful silence and the countless stars that illuminate the night sky.
The cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a King-sized bed, the second bedroom has a Queen-sized bed and the third bedroom has a bunk bed with twin-sized mattresses and a trundle. Additionally, the loft has a futon and Double-sized bed.
Our guests can take advantage of exclusive features during their stay, such as complimentary Wi-Fi, a Charcoal Grill, Wood Burning Stove, Pool Table, Foosball Table, Electric Keyboard with headphone option, Washer/Dryer, Patio Table on the spacious deck, Fire Table and Pak n Play. Please note that there is no air conditioning available and you may rent the cabin only.
The cabin’s remote location may require a 4-Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive vehicle or one equipped with snow tires for easier access during heavy snowfall.
Weddings, small wedding groups or events are permitted at the cabin for an extra fee and arrangement. Regardless of the occasion, Miles Behind promises to create unforgettable memories in a beautiful mountain setting!
Experience a wedding or other small event in the barn! This newly renovated space is a stunning retreat next to our Miles Behind cabin. The spacious layout in the barn offers a large door for easy access to load in any catering services you may require and for guests to enter and exit.
Tables and chairs are available to seat up to 20 guests. This provides just the amount of open space which will be memorable under the lights which are attached to the open beams.
Smoking is prohibited on the premises as per the Homeowner Association rules. Any guests found smoking will be subject to a $500 fine per day, as these rules are rigorously upheld.
