We loved our stay at Echoes! The views, the beautiful restaurant & food, the access to pools at Lilianfels next door were all wonderful. Loved being close & walkable to the Echo and Three Sisters viewpoint as well as Scenic World.

What a wonderful hotel and a what a truly memorable stay we had!! From easy, friendly check-in and the cleanliness and comfort of our room, to the fabulous lounges, restaurants and bars, everything was perfect. I suppose we were a little disappointed that our 40th wedding anniversary was not acknowledged by the staff, despite them being aware of it, but I imagine so many guests are there to celebrate a special occasion, that they don’t feel the need to do anything special, but it would have been nice, even a couple of chocolates in our room, or a cut flower from one of the many plants around the beautiful gardens. That said, we could not fault the hotel or the experience we had, and we will most certainly look at visiting again one day.

Blue Mountains views

This boutique hotel has about a dozen rooms. Located near Echo point in Katoomba there are amazing Blue Mountains views. I had a corner balcony with stunning views (though it was too cold/windy to sit on balcony). Room was spacious, but shower-room was awkwardly small (and had single-use plastic mini toiletries). Breakfast upstairs also had fab views and was great food, but service was very slow as there aren’t enough staff.

I called ahead to let them know we would be checking in later than I thought which meant the hotel reception is not manned , check in would now be via their sister hotel Lilianfels, all ran smoothly and the staff were attentive. One thing to note about the Echoes is there is no lift, our room was on the lower level and quite a few steps to take our luggage down. Lilianfels sent across staff who assisted with the luggage which I thought was good. I thought with the rate $750 per night we had paid that the room would of been more inviting, was an odd shape and the furnishings are tired, the carpet was discoloured and sticky, a good carpet clean or replacement is definitely needed, bathroom could of been cleaner, and no fan worked whilst showering which filled the room with steam. Pros where the little walk out balcony to which you have a small view of the mountains on that level, upstairs is breakfast which has the views I think our next visit to the blue mountains we would definitely choose to stay at Lilianfels instead

Very Overpriced

Our room was ready right on the check in time of 3pm. It would have been nice to check in earlier since the weather was miserable. We checked in at the sister hotel Lilianfels as there was no staff at our hotel. The room was tidy. The bathroom was so very very tight and tied, you could not fit more than one person in there. There is not enough parking on the premises especially of an evening which is very frustrating in wet weather.
