This is the cutest place and so convenient for a lazy weekend on the water. The bed is very comfortable. I do suggest bringing an hot plate if you’d like to cook but there is only one sink. So we chose to eat at “By the Bridge” and never had a bad meal. The service was great too. I’d definitely recommend this rental to everyone! (Except when I want to book it again!) Cole helped with our kayak rentals and he was the sweetest young man and so super helpful. 100% recommend this rental! Ps: bring your vinyls!! Chris Stapleton greets you in the record player but if you have vinyls, bring them!

There was nothing really "wrong" with it. It was smaller than we thought (especially the toilet). The "free breakfast" was not included, which we found out about after booking. The first day we were there, Monday, the shop was closed and we could not use the kayaks which were included as well. We found out late on Monday that we could have gone out and just let them know, but there was no information or communications about that until we called with a cable issue. The rest of the week was GREAT with the kayaks! Very friendly and responsive to issues.

Weekend Getaway!

Booked at the last minute for a weekend getaway. Marc was very communicative and accommodating! The unit is cute and perfect for our interests of shopping, food, and beach time. There were even games in the unit that we took next door to the cafe for a relaxing, fun meal. The reason for 4 stars: we could easily hear people walking on the floor above us in the morning hours and the property's parking lot is shared with the community, and it was full (as was the one across the street) when we returned to the unit around dinner time/sunset. This said, we would definitely stay here again!

Lovely place

Lovely place in an excellent location. Walkable to restaurants etc and clean. Will for sure stay again when in the area and needing a place to rest. Host was very communicative throughout the stay and check in was a breeze.

cute vs practical

this is were cute clashes with practical, we were surprised but no place to hang up and clothes, no way to wash out any glass etc. it had a sux drawer dresser with 5 of them full of misc stuff.although nice and close to downtown swansboro, it just wasnt for us

I booked the weekend for my parter and my 1 year anniversary. Swansboro is a town I fell in love with when I moved to NC and was excited to show her the charming town. Unfortunately, starting the day before we were set to leave I started losing vision in my eye. On the morning we were to leave for the vacation, I had to go into the ER to have emergency surgery to save my vision. I messaged Marc, the property owner, that I would be unable to make it due to emergency surgery and if there was any way I could cancel. Marc didn’t respond despite quickly replying to my questions prior to the visit. After a week, I tried again, asking if we could discuss the unfortunate cancellation. Now, multiple messages to him and calls from VRBO’s customer service over the last month and a half, Marc has continued to ghost both me and VRBO. I understand I cancelled past the cancellation policy, but I was hoping to maybe work out a discounted stay off-season, maybe getting my cleaning fee back as I gave him notice it wasn’t needed, or at least some acknowledgment. I can’t speak to the property, I know I was excited to visit and I’m sure it is wonderful, but I can say the Host Marc is not a great communicator and lacks basic empathy.

Spectacular

The property was very nice and clean, had everything we needed. We loved the restaurant next door and loved the fact we could walk under the bridge to go to the downtown Swansboro. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice place

The decorations were very nice and it was clean! I loved the town of Swansboro and access to the fishing pier/park right outside the door. It was very picturesque and convenient since we brought the dog. The only think I will say is that I didnt realize this was an old store front which is super cool and different but several people tried walking in until we learned to lock the door at all times and pulled the curtain. Also didnt see a hot tub while we were there althought I didnt reach out to the host to ask either so thats on me.

Perfect trip

Just as advertised - just a short walk under the bridge (which is cool!) to downtown. Great little town with a lot of history, shops, and restaurants/bars. The apartment has been meticulously crafted inside a storefront - very well done! Just park in front of the sign...it looks like a storefront, but it's a cute little place that is perfect for 2 people
