We loved the home! There was plenty of parking, the inside was beautiful & clean, the porches all had nice sitting areas, the kitchen was fully stocked and the furniture was beautiful!! We loved seeing the deer that came in the mornings and evenings. The walk to the beach was an easy stroll. It was a perfect week to have some extended family time!!!

Our week was excellent at Coastal Distancing! There are great amenities and we loved the grill & ping pong table. It is a short, easy walk to the beach access (about 4 minutes!) We would definitely stay here again.

Check in wasn’t smooth. Keys were not in designated area, however got in through a back door with a key code. The back door to the garage was also left unlocked. The house smelled musty and had black mold on the A/C vents. House wasn’t very clean. Windows were dirty and dust on fan blades, under furniture. Food crumbs in the living room cushions. Kitchen was well stocked and over all house was comfortable. Have been visiting Holden beach since 2006, however I don’t think I’ll go through Vrbo again. Rental agencies have better cleaning services. Owner was prompt in responding to text messages.

Great Location and Value

Holden Beach has limited public access and this property is ideally located near four access points closely spaced. The kitchen was well stocked with just about any cooking items you might need, plus more. Lots of TVs and one room well-appointed for kids. Shelling at the beach varied from day to day but on good days it was amazing. Note the fishing pier is now closed. Lots of services a short 5 minute drive away.

Great place to stay

This was a family trip with different family members in and out of the house at different times. The house was perfect for this. The balconies off of the upstairs bedrooms were loved by all who were in those rooms. The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed to cook and the eating area accommodated us all. We loved having access to bikes to ride and games/puzzles to enjoy anytime. I noticed that there were very few public beach access areas on the island but thankfully there was one within a short walking distance to the house, definitely a big plus. One of the favorites of everyone was watching the deer out back early morning and/or early evening. I communicated several times (before arriving at the house) with the owners and they always responded in a timely manner. I have no reservations about rating this as a great place to stay!!!

Great stay!

We had a very nice stay with several friends. It was easy to get in touch with the hosts, the location was very close to the beach, and the property had many extra amenities that I did not see on many other listings. There was some mold to be seen around the ceilings and dust on the vents, and we had to go purchase our own toilet paper and paper towels after the first day, but ultimately we would stay again!

Close to beach - 3-4 minute walk from public access. Several chairs and beach items in the garage as well as bikes that can be used during the stay. It was great to not have to bring all of those items with you from home.

Comfortable cottage close to the beach

We had a lovely stay at Coastal Distancing. The indoor and outdoor space was perfect for our family of five and my parents who stayed with us for half of the week. It was easy to walk to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet. My kids enjoyed riding the bicycles provided. The grill, air conditioning, and washer/ dryer all worked without issue. The decor was pleasant and cheerful and we loved sitting out on the 3 decks to enjoy Holden Beach!

Great Family Vacay Spot!

Everything was as expected. Kitchen was well stocked. Game area and the bikes were a great bonus. We appreciated having several options for sitting outside, as well. Owner was very responsive to requests and concerns.

Great stocked house

The house had not been cleaned when we arrived but owner was quick to fix the problem. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Great distance from beach and house was stocked with darts, ping pong, spike ball, games, bikes.

A lovely, peaceful house near the beach!

We really enjoyed staying at Costal Distancing! The house is in a great location and provided everything we needed as a family of five! Sitting on the back deck was lovely in the early morning hours with a cup of coffee and my kiddos loved playing darts in the garage. The walk to the beach was quick and safe! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Holden Beach.

Stayed in this house to attend a family reunion. 5 adults. The accommodations were great. Short walk to the beach, close to island bridge for on shore shopping. Clean, loved the porches!

Holden beach trip

Great location close to the beach. We appreciated the extra amenities like the beach chairs and bikes. We enjoyed being able to bike to diner. It was nice having seating on the front and back porches. It was our first trip to Holden beach but we would stay here again.

Only two comments

Loved the location, easy access to beach and restaurants. Did not like when we arrived there wasn’t a stitch of toilet paper in either bathroom. My friend stayed upstairs and she said there is black mold in bathroom above the tub. Scary. Thank you for all the accessories in the garage, very helpful.
