Tranquil & Modern Riverside Getaway

Summary:

No one knows the ins and outs, highlights and must-dos of an area quite like its residents. So when locals tell you Hilton Esplanade is among the most pristine and peaceful parts of the coast, it’s well worth noting the reference.

The Space:

Somewhat of a hidden gem among tourists, the charm and relaxed vibe of this waterfront enclave invites visitors to stop on arrival, draw in a deep breath and slowly exhale. As the grind of daily life fades into the background, the thirst for experiences of a different kind takes its place – and this four-bedroom property is the perfect place from which to make them happen.

Sitting directly across the road from the emerald ebb and flow of the Noosa River, the self-contained home was designed with contemporary flexibility in mind. This has resulted in a thoughtful layout that’s ideal for two families to holiday in tandem or groups of friends to enjoy a getaway that prioritises moments together but also gives plenty of leeway for private couple time.

With beautiful interiors that mix soothing elements of Scandi style with vibrant hues drawn directly from nature, the home unfolds across two stylish levels. Both offer inviting outdoor spaces to take full advantage of the lush natural surrounds. On the upstairs deck, the glorious 180-degree river panorama is complemented by a barbecue, multiple tables and chairs to create an appealing alfresco dining and entertaining zone. Downstairs, meanwhile, the space serves as an outdoor lounge, furnished both for chic and for comfort.

With a focus on polish and practicality, the upstairs level places its bedrooms together at the back of the floorplan. This ensures close proximity to little ones for parents. A furnished open-air balcony flowing from the master, meanwhile, makes an ideal spot to sip on your morning coffee, warmed by the gentle wash of the sun.

Past a fully equipped gourmet kitchen – complete with bench seating for casual meals – the lifestyle hub flows across a chic lounge/TV area and also the dining zone, which is oriented towards the great outdoors. The open-plan configuration is repeated downstairs, where the bedrooms – one with bunk beds to delight the children – give way to a kitchenette and a second living area. Beautiful timber floors and high ceilings help to showcase the warm natural light that floods the indoor spaces.

With gated entry, a double carport and storage for a trailered boat, the property is ideally set up to cater for visitors who find their enjoyment on and near the water. Boats can be launched just 200m away along Hilton Esplanade, while the expansive emerald water is perfect for kayaking, canoeing or even casting in a line in for dinner. Noosa Marina and the Noosa River ferry also lie just a short walk (or paddle) away, further opening up the delights of the coast.

For those keen to explore less hidden gems, a short drive leads through to attractions such as Hastings St, Main Beach, Gympie Terrace, Noosa National Park and Sunshine Beach. From fine dining and dazzling beachside outlooks to surfing breaks and lush pockets of flora and fauna, they all add to the rich tapestry that is life on the coast. So explore nature, squelch the sand under your toes, eat decadent five-star cuisine, take tonnes of photos and indulge in some retail therapy. Then, when you’re ready for a little peace and quiet, home is but a quick trip away – perhaps in time to enjoy sunset drinks on the balcony, with the sounds of nature your only companion. As the locals will tell you, moments like these are the true joys of a hidden gem. Best to explore them now before the rest of the world discovers their charms.
