Great view of the lake, nice manager but the cigarette smell was very strong and made the experience not so fun. However, they did have the best croissant in the whole region for breakfast.

Venue of choice for return booking!

Having enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Sempione last year, we had no hesitation in booking the same hotel for a return visit to Stresa. The location is very convenient for exploring the town and for ferries to the islands or around the lake, and the staff are efficient and friendly. With its superb lake views, our balcony room was clean,comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was good, with excellent coffee. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Gorgeous veiw of lake

Hotel really needs a refurbishment, its a budget hotel, but really needs modernising. Man on reception who also serves breakfast,was an excellent host Well done😀 & thank you. (From Surrey) Please spend some money on mordenishg as fab location & would return if work done. Excellent holiday as didn't spend a lot of time in room.

A small hotel in a great location.

The hotel is in front of Lake Maggiore, a short walk to the ferry terminus and restaurants & shops. It is rather basic and dated but a good place to stay if you want lake views in a convenient position at a reasonable cost.

Nice View with no air conditioning

Beautiful view from the rooms with a lake-view balcony, a great location, and nice small hotel with decent continental breakfast. Be warned no air conditioning, no fans, and no screens on windows; therefore, lots of showers needed and bring mosquito spray as a precaution, if you stay here during the hotter months. The hotel staff were polite and friendly. Hotel is also a reasonably short walk to the main square, the ferries to the Lake's isles, and the seasonal buses from Orta San Guilio and to the bus to Milan's Malpensa Airport.

Brilliant location

Hotel in prime location, staff very helpful and pleasant. Rooms clean but a bit outdated, also restaurant the same. Free breakfast was usual stuff but croissants were excellent! Wifi only worked at front of Hotel, think there is a location downstairs but didn't try it. Cheap and cheerful but could do with a makeover to bring it up to date.

A perfect stay!

Although officially classed as 2-star, this was better than any 3-star and many 4-star hotels we've come across in years of extensive travel. Our 4th floor room with balcony overlooking the lake promenade was very large, clean and really comfortable, with the biggest bathroom ever! Only regret was not being able to stay for more than the 3 nights we booked.

Awesome view from the balcony.

This is a budget hotel with a quirky shower arrangement.....risk of flooding room. But the price and the view from the balcony make up for this. Great location close to ferry terminal and to the center of Stresa.

Budget Place for a short stay

I Stayed at the hotel for two nights. At the begining the hotel location is very good and its walkable from the train station. Once i arrived i found everything ready so i just took my keys and went straight to my room. The room was a bit small not as expected so its not like the pictures avaliable but it was okay. The room is old with a balcony and the beds are quite good. The toilet is also clean and equiped with a hairdrayer. Apart from the room they serve good breakfast for a 2 star hotel while you sit and dnjoy the view overlooking the lago maggiore from the resturant.

Stresa in early spring

Shabby chic hotel with comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Friendly staff. Great view from balcony although parents should note that the balcony doors could be opened by children. Not a huge choice for breakfast if you are gluten free like us. It was out of season in Stresa and midweek we didn't find many restaurants open. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Fabulous views

Slightly shabby hotel just across the road from Lago Maggiore. The staff are very friendly with a delightful attitude and not much English (very refreshing in the tourist drenched north of Italy). Ask for a Lake View room, you won't be disappointed.

Happy to be there

very positiv. A modest room but with simple old furnitires but certain old fashion style charm. Red walls and arts on the walls. I felt really comfortable. Everything was well prepared and clean. basic Breakfast with very good coffee and professional service with amazing view on the lake. If somebody is looking for nice room to stay, pay attention to budget, wants to be near center, and still not disturbed, have a luxus view of the see during the breakfast to chill. This Hotel is Perfect, simple and cool has all what you need. As long as you are not expecting Luxus of hotel rooms that attracts you more then the region and sighseen, you will be happy with your stay.
