Less than 200m to the Cathedral! Perfect for the Christmas markets as everything was walkable. Clean apartment and surprisingly quiet given the living room and dining room looked down on a busy fun street. Great visit. Thank you.

Comfortable and perfectly located

This property could not have been located in a better place in Strasbourg. The cathedral was a 2 minute walk away and there were at least four museums that were as close or closer. Although the living and dining areas overlooked two bars, we were never disturbed by noise.

Great Location

The property was very cute/funky and spacious. A lot of thought has gone into it. The location was perfect close to everything and also transportation. Although in a main tourist restaurant area it was very quiet at night with windows closed.

The apartment was very clean and decorated well. The owners were very cordial upon welcoming us. If you want to cook this is not the apartment for you. There is no oven, a microwave/convection which was difficult to understand directions with respect to using the oven. The cooking utensils were very sparse, cork screw that was impossible to use, and all dull knives. Could not figure out how to use the Krups Nespresso machine as there were no directions. If you are staying for a longer period of time and want to wash clothes the washer dryer instructions are impossible to understand. I could never get the dryer to work. Owner had never used the machine, and could not help. The apartment is very quiet, in a safe neighborhood, but be aware of the 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment. This apartment is a better choice for a few days, but not 2 weeks due to the above mentioned issues.

Centrally located in the heart of Old Strasbourg

This apartment from the 1600's is perfectly situated in Strasbourg. It overlooks a street of restaurants and shops, and is within a stone's throw of all the key sights, the tram, shopping, etc. The apartment is a mix of old world/new world design. Very pretty. Christiane is incredibly quick to response to queries.

Fantastic!

I have stayed in VRBO's around the world and Christiane's place is one of my top favorites. The apartment is absolutely charming, it has everything you need to be comfortable. Christiane has put much thought and care into every detail.Christiane went out of her way to welcome us and to make sure she was available if we needed anything, and ensure we were comfortable. The location is perfect, it is central to everything. Strasbourg is a special city, with so much to see, great restaurants, shopping, biking and walking, and Christiane's lovely apartment really made the visit that much more special.

Heart of the cathedral district

If you want to be in the historic center, this is a great location. The apartment is very charming, and well appointed. It’s best for a couple, or family, as the bedrooms are adjoining through glass doors, and there is only one bath. But plenty of space and very comfortable. Steps from the cathedral, good restaurants, shopping and in December of course, the Christmas markets. Check in and out was super easy. Overall highly recommended.

A lovely large apartment in a fabulous location

We had a wonderful stay at Christiane’s apartment with our two children. The flat is in a beautiful old traditional building but renovated with style. The location is fabulous, walking distance to everything you need for your stay. We loved exploring Strasbourg on foot from this perfect base.

Rustic home

If you want the experience of living in an old traditional half timber house, this will suit you. We enjoyed all the space in this apartment. The owner impressed us with his enthusiatic greeting and hospitality. He made us feel welcome.

Great location

The apartment is in a great location and is nicely decorated. It is tidy and clean, but be sure to wear socks and or shoes during your time there because the floors are slightly dirty and you may get a splinter (they are pretty wood floors, just very old). While there is a washer and dryer, directions On how to use them are not available in English (or at least not that we could find- French, German, Spanish, and Dutch were the only directions we saw) and the dryer is not the best. I would recommend for a short stay, but am not sure I would recommend for a longer stay- We stayed 4 nights and there is not an oven , the refrigerator is a mini one, and the kitchen appliances are sparse, so if your with a family (like we were) it makes it slightly difficult to cook bigger meals. Again, the location was nice, so if you can overlook the small kitchen and possible splinters in your feet it is a great place to stay.

I would go back in an instant.

We had always wanted to see the Xmas market in Strasbourg and this apartment looked ideal as it was close to everything. We were just a block or two from the Cathedral. The apartment was clean, warm, had pleanty of hot water, great cooking facilities (who can eat in when there are so many excellent restaurants in the area.) Beds were comfortable and Christiane was very helpful. He didn't speak much english but we got by just fine. If I ever go back I will definitely stay at the same place.

Lovely apartment right in the midst of the old town and its excitrment but surprisingly calm and quiet! Fabulous location, particularly if you plan to be there during the holiday season with a Christmas Market right outside your door! Owner was very accommodating and even met us a few blocks away as the street was closed due to the Christmas Market and helped carry our bags up the stairs. And, be sure to check out the winstub directly across from the front door...fabulous food and ambience! We miss Strasbourg already!

This apartment has it all! First of all, the location is the best - right in the middle of everything. The cathedral, restaurants, and museums are all within walking distance. There is a Starbucks directly across the street for those of you who want coffee to go. There is an ATM next door, and a small grocery store is just a few minutes walk.It is a quiet and very safe area at night. Inside the apartment there is tons of space, a comfortable bed, and a washer/dryer combo that actually dries the clothes. The owners are so nice and whole rental went very smoothly.
