Wake up each morning to a spectacular sunrise view from the privacy of the front porch where you will have amazing views of Bois Bubert Island at this sweet country home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Here on the shores of Pigeon Hill Bay, enjoy a lovely back deck, two fireplaces, and wonderful access to a private beachfront, hiking trails, nature preserves, and the many coastal wonders of Downeast Maine.
This two-story home is located 45 miles up the coast from Ellsworth, the gateway to Acadia National Park. You'll be within a quarter-mile of the Steuben Public Boat Ramp and the Pigeon Hill Preserve Trailhead for quiet morning hikes with stunning views of Pigeon Hill Bay and Dyer Bay. A two-mile car or bike ride down Pigeon Hill Road will take you into Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge, a birder's paradise with a beautiful white sand beach and hiking trails though serene forest to cobble beaches. A well-stocked grocery store is also nearby, so you can load up on needed supplies or ingredients.
Maine is known for its lobsters and a boat tour of the area showcases why. If you're looking to get out and explore, head to Winter Harbor (21 miles west) to catch the Bar Harbor Ferry or take a scenic, 45-mile drive to Acadia for the day. Drive 50 miles to Lubec, home of Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point in the United States, and enjoy cliff trails overlooking Grand Manan Island, an ancient bog trail, and access to its iconic lighthouse.
Whether your plans involve kayaking, fishing, hiking, or sailing, the property's outdoor spaces provide a tranquil respite morning, afternoon, and evening. Sip your first cup of coffee watching lobster boats working or appreciate the gorgeous bay view from your own front porch. In fact, the porch serves as the perfect place to begin and end your day as you indulge in the picturesque sights. Light the gas grill for lunchtime barbecues and roast marshmallows around the firepit or on the private beach on starry summer nights.
The home's interior is warm and inviting, offering a light-filled living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining room with a beautiful view of the ocean, and an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast table. High-speed WiFi, a smart TV, and a private washer/dryer are on hand for your comfort as well.
Things to Know The wood stove in the kitchen is not for guest use. The private beach is within a few minutes' walk, accessed via a trail from the garden. It's a 140-foot section next to the town boat launch with a rock-and-gravel shoreline. Swimming is possible, as is sunbathing on the large black rocks.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Narraguagus Bay getaway.
This propeety was everything we expected and more. A large kitchen stocked with everything a cook would want. A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. Lots of hiking, waterfront exploring, wildlife and of course fresh seafood!

Steuben Pigeon Hill Stay-
Lovely home with all accoutrements. Great view. Weather was terrific. Deer were plentiful on property and on Pigeon Hill Road-Careful! House was very clean on arrival.
Minor issues-could not get combination lock to work; call to managers gave us combo to key box-all good. Was a little disappointed with road between house and beach; little or no traffic-so really no issue. Should have been mentioned in AD. Lite in refrigerator inoperative-Tory fixed it-very personable.
Apparently Sept. 23-30 is shoulder season-Many restaurants were closed Sun-Thursday. Still, we very much enjoyed our stay-
I lost or misplaced an Apple version 2 Pencil; if found please contact me to arrange return-Thanks!

Not bad
It is across the street from the ocean, the so called private beach was small, all rocks! The path from the house to the beach couldn’t be used as there was a porcupine on the path that got our dogs so we had to take them to emergency vets!

Nice home
We enjoyed our home for a few days at Pigeon Hill. The only problem we had was finding the place since our GPS put the property on the other side of the road and the house numbers are wonky. A better placement of this house number would help. We also had trouble using the internet, but the representative helped us out very quickly on that. Overall, I would stay there again. Gorgeous view, lovely home. Very comfortable.

Honestly magical
We loved this place !! It was like being transported to a private island. There is a nature preserve within a couple min walk that the hike leads to top of the mountain with stunning views for miles. There is a small private beach area. I’m want to say beware if you have pups the advice book said watch for porcupines and we disregarded the warning and our pup got about 50 quils after going after one luckily we were able to get them all out with not serious damage but she was sore whole week and had quills inches from her eye again this was our fault but keep dogs leashed at night.
