If you’re bringing your pet you better call the hotel directly since you don’t check in with a person but a code for the room. I have stayed at least 5 times with my small dog. When leaving the maid was outside and gave me dirty looks but never said anything? I then received a call from the hotel giving me an interrogation about the dog. She told me the room I was in doesn’t allow dogs. I told her last time I stayed in that room they allowed dogs. She told me the rules have changed. Not staying there again even if I don’t bring my dog!

We were happy that the room contained a refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioner and heater worked great. Unfortunately, the room had no soap and we had to go to the desk to get some. The stairs are poorly lit at night, even with the porch light on.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the young ladies. The room itself just felt like an “old room”. The air-conditioning worked fine. The bed was relatively comfortable. The room is truly really just very basic, two beds, a desk, and a chair. The view from the back was really nice and I appreciated that. I did have to request clean pillowcases, and the young ladies were very quick to apologize and bring me fresh pillowcases, sheets, and an additional quilt. The bedspread was “old” and “picked” and very thin (as were the sheets). I certainly would not categorize this as a “resort”. I am not a hotel snob, but I do travel frequently by myself and felt relatively safe. The bathroom is extremely small. You have to move your legs just to close the door. Overall, it was OK. I do think it needs to be brought “modernized” in many ways, even a little bit would be very helpful. Thank you!

They are rebuilding after the hurricane's and the location is beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Parking was easy. The sites are beautiful. Also room for parking with boat trailer too.

The pics online are deceptive. It looks ok on outside. Stairs are much steeper than they appear online. Rooms so tight there’s barely walking space on sides near wall-it’s also only place to hang a FEW clothes. No place to put a suitcase except on bed. Bathroom so small you can barely close door. Shower ok. The window unit was pushing musty air and the wall beside it so soft you could put your hand right through it If you enjoy loud bar music, screaming drunk people and people vomiting bear you throughout the night - this is the place for you

I have stayed there several times. Its a great place, but the cottages could use a little maintenance. New shower heads and some flooring. But those will not keep me from coming. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and the property is super convenient for what we want. The staff are always friendly. Other than a few maintenance needs, i cant say much bad about the place. Will definitely book again in the future. We love it there.
