Carinthian paradise

This was our second stay at Mathiasl, and we came back for a reason! The units are very big, clean, and comfortable with a full kitchen, dining area, and balcony. The view from the balcony seems to operfect to be true, looking over an Alpine lake with snow-capped mountains in the background. The hotel is conveniently located (although you'll need a car) just next to several trailheads if you are interested in hiking, but also just a three-minute drive from a supermarket and several good cafes/restaurants in the town below. The hotel-owner is very nice, responsive to requests, and provides almost anything you can think of (trail maps, restaurant suggestions, even a free bottle of wine!). We would highly recommend for a couple or small family looking for a relaxing weekend hiking, skiing, or just enjoying the spectacular view!

Stunning views

We were made to feel very welcome in this accommodation. The views were breathtaking and the rooms are beautifully kept. We particularly loved the balcony with a view across the lake to the mountains.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus auf der Passstrasse

Das Ferienhaus liegt auf dem Weg zu den Gerlitzen, direkt auf der Pass Strasse. Die Zimmer sind absolut hervorragend und auch der Servcie lässt sich vergleiche mit einen 4-5 Sterne Hotel. Absolut saubere Zimmer und sehr geschmackvoll. Sehr viel liebe zum Detail, im Kühlschrank wartet auch eine Flasche Wein. Der Balkon ist geräumig und bei schönen Wetter ideal. Flatscreen, DVD Player, Digitaler Alarm, Bademantel und weitere Kleinigekeiten lassen wirklich Hotel Feeling aufkommen. Das Zimmer war unglaublich geräumig und gross. Super Preis Leistungsverhältniss. Wir waren positiv überrascht und konnten es am Anfang gar nicht glauben. Ich bin selbst Hoteldirektor und kann dieses Hotel nur Loben. Gegenüber liegt auch ein nettes Restaurant von einen hollöndisches Pärchen geführt. Normale Preise und hervorragendes geschmackvolles Essen. Bis zum Skilift oder Badesee ist es zwar nur mit dem Auto möglich aber hey wer eine Aussicht haben will kann nur dort sein.
