I’ll preface this by saying the house itself was great. There were plenty of places to sleep and lounge and the backyard/pool area was nice and private. However our overall experience was rather strange, and it felt as though the owners did not know that someone had rented this property out. When we arrived, the master bedroom had no door knob, the pool was not cleaned, the TVs had no remotes, and the front door did not properly lock/unlock so we often had to go through the back door. The owner came out to clean the pool and install a doorknob at our request, but the front door was never fixed, and they left a sign saying “SOL” on the door. We were also unable to use the TVs at all during our stay- owner said she’d order a remote and bring a couple days later but never brought one, and stopped responding to our concerns. At this point the sunroom/covered deck had also flooded with a few inches of rain water, and again the owner did not respond to this concern. Misc: granted it’s not listed on the booking, we found it very odd the property didn’t have a dishwasher. Water pressure was not great. Finding the hot water on showers is very weird- the first little turn of the faucet is the hot water, the rest of the way is cold, just bizarre, should have a plumber fix.
