The property was mostly clean, especially the room itself. I could tell they just went through some remodel as everything looked nice but the lighting in the room was poor as was the shower set up. The pool was so cold we couldn't use it. The hot tub was dirty and didn't work and was also cold. The onsite restaurant was very bad with poor service and sub par tasting food.

Even though the rooms were “renovated” as I was told , it is the terribly dirty conditions … I could barely see out of the window because of too much dust , sheets were old and felt like it had sand all over , bathroom door was the original with spills on it. Vanity area did not have a light but a living room stand up light which made it very inconvenient… from the moment of check in we were told to find other accommodations due to hotel not having power . Staff at the beginning was not pleasant to work with at all and ignorant. Nothing was ever offered as a compensation for all of this. Terrible hotel and poor management I was asked for a full cleaning room service which was done half way if at best. People that walked outside of the door of our room felt like they were inside of our room, no insulation. Pool was freezing and hut tub was out of commission Nothing about this place is appealing and I will make sure to post all of this on their google search as well… I have asked for 2 days for AC to be fixed , that request was simply ignored

The hotel was lovely. Having some updating, but did not affect our stay much. The day clerks were just wonderful and very helpful. Could not ask for nicer service. Had an air conditioning problem on the 2nd night, but after we checked out all was taken care of. The area around Castillo Real Resort was just great. Restaurants were so close, walking distance for some. And the best food. We felt safe in that area. And had a room with a balcony with a view of the ocean. Doesn’t get much better then that.

Amazing stay at you hotel
Absolutely amazing hotel the staff were super friendly. The restaurant smells so Devine when you first walk in the lobby. Bathrooms are remarkably clean and very spacious shower.
