The place is really hard to find. We arranged our pick up from the airport with the property manager, and the driver told us that the manager was in front of city gate. Didn’t happen. After 30 minutes wondering around with suitcases, we found the property (thanks to a local tourist guide).

Great location but you are on your own to find it

If you can get past the difficulty communicating with manager and finding the place, once you're in it's not bad. AC works great, Wi-Fi works great. Location could be better just a few steps to the main Piazza historic Center. Just make sure you know exactly how to find the place before head. Do not expect to be able to rely on manager for help, directions, information, responses...

Worst Stay ever

Only plus for Cecilia is it's location. Worst and costliest hotel in our 23 days Europe trip. The details given on the site and actuality is totally different. I would not recommend this property to anyone. The toilet is very small and dirty. No housekeeping in three nights of our stay. No toiletries. No Wi-Fi as well.

Studio apartment within the walls of the Palace

The room was a nicely decorated studio within the walls of the Palace. The walls of the kitchen were over a meter thick. It was amazing to stay inside of the walls in a piece of history, 1700 years old. It is not often that you get to stay in a place like this. We consider ourselves very fortunate to ache found this listing.

A Nice Overnighter

We had a strange schedule and weren't sure what time we would arrive at the place so the manager accommodated us effectively. The room was nice and well appointed. The bathroom was new and perfectly fine. A nice stay. Grateful for air conditioning.

Apartments Cecilia

The place is not very easy to find,and you need to contact the owner on the phone as there is no reception. I was pleasantly surprised by the room with its own kitchen , which is well equipped but its basic not luxury , fine for the price and very well located to the centre of the old town.

Worst accommodation ever! do not stay here!

This is the worst booking i have ever made!! The double room is tiny, bed against the wall and no room for luggage. Even though it advertises stove top and kitchen it only has a small, non functioning fridge and kettle (hotels.com please do something about this as this is false advertising!) We were given one towel for two people and the room wasn't cleaned in the 5 days we were there. Worst of all is the service, we only saw one person from staff while we there and he didn't seem to know what he was doing. When I tried to deal with the staff over the phone they were terribly rude and unhelpful, I was even hung up on! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT book here, it just isn't worth it even if it's cheap. There is so much accommodation in Split, find something else, these people do not deserve any business.

A nice little apartment within the Diocletian Palace. It was not easy to find and as it is an apartment there is no reception desk. Had to get the Tourist Information to ring and arrange a time to pick up the key. Need more information about this on web-site. Once we found it, it was great.

close to transport,restaurant very close

i was really impressed with the room and the fact that a restaurant with very good quality food was so close by and access to transport was a great help that we saw so much in the few days we were there.

Fine for an overnight stay

We pre-arranged transport through the Apartment Cecilia, and the driver was waiting for us at the airport, was pleasant with good command of English. Because there is no way to drive to apartment Cecilia, he dropped us off at the taxi area in town, having phoned and alerted someone of our arrival. The lady who met us was rather brusque, and set off at a pace which we found we needed to almost run, with all our luggage. Our room was very small and we were initially disappointed, but everywhere was spotlessly clean, and the kingsized bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was efficient, so overall, for a cheap one night stay, the apartment served it's purpose, and was nicely centrally located.

Its not a hotel at all! Read this review!

This is not a hotel! NO service, NO doorlock, NO full-body towels! Water heater in shower is NOT automatic, you're supposed to figure out to turn on the switch and let it heat for a few hours before; NO wifi unless you specifically ask where to find the network key and password. In fact, this is just a couple of apartments in a building with other locals, so it is not advertised as a hotel anywhere, making it very difficult to find. Once you're there, you HAVE to call the number listed in the hotel description and try to get a hold of someone who can let you in. In my case, it was the cleaning lady,who spoke ZERO english, after i had spent over 15 euros calling internationally to this "owner" . I stayed for 3 nights, there was NO cleaning service whatsoever. So, to summarize, DO NOT STAY HERE. Yes, the location is great and the room itself is ok, but there is so much accommodation being offered in Split that this is simply NOT worth the amount of money they are asking, you can stay for a third of it somewhere nicer with REAL reception!

Great location

The room is very well located - at the heart of the old town, few meters to the Dioclitian Palace, i highly recommended it for a short stay and if you don't spend too much time in the room. Otherwise, the room we were provided was very small, just the space for a double bed and the bathroom was like a closet but it was clean.

We booked and paid for this room 2 months ago. When we arrived at Split it took us a long time to find this place as google maps didn't match the exact locations and it was in a very tiny side street. When we eventually found the place and there was no one there to let us in. The helpful locals called the number and we were told that our apartment was double booked. We had to find new accommodation at 10pm at night after a long flight. They didn't care that we paid or that they double booked. It was our problem. Thankfully the Croatian people are so friendly and helped us find alternate accommodation so late a night. If you don't want to ruin your holiday then choose another apartment.

These apartments are very difficult to find. They are located just inside the Silver Gate between the hotel Peristil and the cafe next door. It is a narrow alley and the gate has number 4 on it but the name Cecilia does not appear. You are also likely to have to telephone on arrival because there is no one there. The apartments are close to the market and restaurants, the harbour and bus station.

Great.location

Very quaint hotel right in the heart of the Dalmatian Palace. It is very difficult to find but many others seemed that way. Don't be shy to ask as everyone in Croatia is very kind and friendly. There are only a few apartments and all come with a kitchen so you can make a coffee and have a light breakfast and snacks in the evening. It is very clean and cosy. It i s more like an apartment which is very common to rent/book in Croatia.

Good value room in excellent location

The studio room was small and basic but clean and in an excellent position to explore Split. Importantly it was close to both the harbour (five minutes walk) for our arrrival and the airport bus for our return to the UK. It was not easy to find but the tourist information is very close and they directed us to it. There was little noise at night to disturb us and overall was good value - although it would have been a littel too basic for us for a longer stay.
