Pine Lodge is a tucked away, well appointed, honey hole that my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was great for happy hour. We chatted about our day over wine and hors d’oeuvres around the large island. Our host was communicative and accommodating. One thing to do is go outside at night and star gaze. It was like being st our own private planetarium. Also Milagro a short walk up the street makes a great cup of coffee. Incredible experience. Highly recommend for a small family, two couples traveling together, or friends looking for a weekend away.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pine Lodge and wished we could’ve stayed longer. One of the best VRBO’s we ever stayed!! Nice and quiet, away from the touristy Bar Harbor, but super easy access to everything in Acadia. We especially the outdoor area & loved sitting by the firepit…we were even serenaded by the sound of coyotes one evening! Overall, the perfect getaway for our group of four. Thank you, Sarah, for all of the amenities, we had everything we needed & more! Everything was a 10/10! We hope to visit again someday. Kim & Joe, San DiegoCindy & Chris, Kansas City

One of the best stays we have experienced

The host thought of everything! Kitchen items, furniture, bath toiletries, outdoor space - including the grill and firepit. It was just a wonderful experience. To add to that - we had the pleasure of seeing wild turkeys and deer scamper through the property. The night sky is also brilliant from this location. It was a short ride to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We would highly recommend this house.

Just as described

We loved Pine Lodge. Perfect for 2 couples. It was quiet and convenient to all of the things we wanted to explore near Acadia. We especially liked the large kitchen and dining area. The fire pit was a perfect spot to relax at the end of the day. We explored Schoodic Peninsula and the Carriage roads. Dinner and service at Dry Dock was perfect…highly recommend .

Clean, quiet, modern

House was very clean and thoughtfully designed. Great place to stay in MDI that’s close enough to activities but far enough away from the crowds.

Lovely Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and loved that it was new and updated. I also appreciated the 12 cup coffee maker (not Keurig) with local, tasty coffee provided. Sarah was a great host and I would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional property

We stayed at this property last week. Check in was super easy. The home was beautifully decorated and spotless. This was the best experience I’ve had at any rental property. The home was well stocked with everything you could need. We even had some deer greet us one morning near the front yard. Owner is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful sanctuary away from the crowds

We were very pleased with our stay, from check-in through check-out. Communication with the host was extremely prompt, which was very appreciated when there was a brief power outage. (Fyi, there were flashlights and instructions for how to check the staus of an outage, but we did not have cell service at the property to go online.) The property was exactly as pictured and was very clean. It is in a very peaceful setting, with deer frequently spotted in the evenings. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms helped tremendously after a hot day of hiking. We were able to position the fan in the hallway, so as to blow some of the cooler air from the bedrooms into the main living areas. Overall, we were very pleased and would love to stay there again if we are ever in the area!

Perfect place

Pine lodge was a perfectly located and perfectly appointed home. The owner was very easy to communicate with before the trip. The home was very clean. All possible items were available. Beds were comfortable and showers were clean and provided hot showers after our hikes. I think what was the biggest selling point after our stay that it wasn’t in Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is totally geared for the tourist. Southwest Harbor doesn’t have near the pressure and much more enjoyable. Plus it’s not far (15-20 min) from the most popular hikes. But it also has a great underrated hike (Beech Mtn) less than 8 minutes away! Great location and great property.

Oasis convenient to Bar Harbor

This home is by far the most appointed and homey VRBO we have ever experienced. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time in Bar Harbor (thanks to the area information in the home) then coming home to rest, relax and enjoy sitting around the fire pit. The kitchen was so nice with everything we needed so we enjoyed a couple home cooked meals on the Blackstone and grilled on the fire pit. Sarah was always available with answers to our questions. We will for sure tell our friends and family traveling in the area about this extraordinary home. You will not go wrong staying in this home!!!! Thank you Sarah for making our stay so enjoyable.
