Check in

The condo was wonderful, check in was a nightmare. I was lied to and told they were cleaning room at 3:15 and waiting for inspection before we could enter.Knowing check in is officially at 4:00 pm. We stoid outside room for 45 minutes and no one maid or inspection took place. Always in the past if room was ready you could enter. So i did like the taste of that experience at check in.But condo was wonderful.

February stay

The room/condo was comfortable and nicely decorated. Plenty of space. Easy access. We faced the gulf and had a lot of foggy weather in the mornings, which burned off later. One heated pool out of 3. Nice tennis courts. Frequently property cleaning in mutual areas. Wish there had been a restaurant/bar on the property. But there were plenty of local places to go. Would go there again.

Great Location!

The property is gulf front as described. The condo is generally very comfortable and laundry facility is accessible in the building. The only drawback - the mattress on the bed in the master bedroom is horribly soft and saggy. It has seen its better days and should be replaced soon.

Great stay with our extended family. The condo was clean and well kept. Enough kitchen supplies for us to cook daily. Close to the beach. Communication was good too.

Condo 2401

There were a few issues with the condo. The place had a lot of roaches and ants. Also the master bathroom toilet wouldn’t stop running. The kitchen sink had very low water pressure. The front left burner doesn’t work. With the price we paid for the unit, everything should be in working order. It’s obvious the owner hasn’t done a regular check of his unit.

Loved location just not this particular condo

The location was epic the condo was perfect the low rating is due to a stove with one working burner, trying to feed 10 people with one burner is not convenient or time efficient. Called it in no resolve. Kitchen also had German roaches YUCK!!! I notified management no apology not even a sound of surprise. Those roaches travel and last thing we wanted was to bring them home with us.

Excellent location but…

The property was not properly maintained. Broken shelves in the fridge. 2 eyes on the stove are inoperable. Mold is on the bathroom fixtures. We tried to clean and bleach them ourselves. The bathroom door knob was really in need of changing. Just a little more attention to the details would make for a great rental experience. Overall it was ok. I wasn’t looking for perfection but it could’ve been much better.

Great View!!!!

Pros for this property: Amazing and breathtaking views, spacious, very well stocked (toilet paper, kitchen supplies, etc.), very clean, security guards and gated, very manicured lawns, dog-friendly resort, very quick response time by SPI Rentals (before, during, and after), and convenient location to everything needed. Cons for this property: The furniture is shabby and tired, there is a weird noise (maybe airconditioning unit outside) that is super loud about twice a day in the second bedroom (near the bathroom), there was a mildew smell when we arrived (not sure if it was a leak somewhere or if the cleaning crew used a mildewed mop on floors (we never could locate the smell's origin). All in all, it was a great stay. After talking to some other renters on the beach, it seems that many of the units, along the beach, are tired and worn. I think one thing that would be hugely beneficial is for the main office to make some updates. When we arrived in town and approached the "office," it didn't seem very welcoming. It kind of looked like an old detective's office on the side of the building. The staff was VERY nice and professional (even offered dining suggestions), but they sat behind a window and the office was kind of dirty looking. When you're paying $300-$400 a night, you kind of expect a more welcoming first-impression. Having said that, SPI Rentals was amazing (probably better than any other agency I've worked with) at correspondence throughout the process. The staff seems to really know what they're doing and appear very organized.

Awesome location

Location and complex amenities were great. Elevator to unit and cart availability made checking in/out a breeze. Balcony was HUGE with lots of seating options. Negatives were the kitchen, with old appliances that in the case of the oven/stove barely worked, and there were very few pots/pans, utensils for cooking. If you eat out, no problem, but if you plan to cook for a group beware!

Well decorated and clean, but not amazing.

The property grounds were well maintained and the pictures of the unit were accurate, it’s clean and the furniture is cute. The mattresses, towels, and sheets were all really low quality, they desperately need to improve at least the master bed. The complex itself has convenient beach access and one of the three pools has bar.

All and all we had a wonderful time. We had some trouble getting in initially because the front door lock is janky. It's really difficult to unlock and then won't let go of your key once it does. They really need to replace that lock. But once we were inside, we were so happy! It's certainly not the cleanest place I've ever stayed, but the view, the space and layout, and the comfy beds made up for that. A note about coronavirus: South Padre is a hotspot, just like anywhere else on the coast. Many people didn't seem to acknowledge we were in the middle of a pandemic.

Beautiful View

This condo was an end unit on the 4th floor with a beautiful unobstructed view of the beach/ocean. The unit had a large balcony, large rooms and all of the beds were comfortable. One of the club chairs in the living room was broken and several of the electric outlets weren't working. We had a wonderful time and would reserve this unit again.

concerns about the cleaniness

The overall experience was good. The sheets had hair in them. the floor over all was not very clean especially master bath and the two small rugs in master bath were filthy and smelled. When we called about the sheets, they said they would bring clean in 30 minutes and it actually took over an hour-

My family and myself enjoy our vacation, great location close to a lot of shops and restaurants is really a great place to stay!!! The living room furniture and showers could use some updates, but other than that everything else was great. We would go again next year!

Great Condo

Condo is great. Could use some containers with lids in the kitchen. There were only 2 steak knives, wifi is extremely weak....zoom was difficult. Could use a tv in the bedroom with double beds. But overall it's a great place with a beautiful view of the ocean. Clean as can be!!!
