The Space:

This traditional Faroese house offers a cozy and welcoming interior with space for up to 8 guests. There are 3 bedrooms and a comfortable sofa bed in the living area. The home includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and everything you need for a relaxed stay. The house has an older, authentic style that reflects true Faroese charm.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire house. Entry is simple and convenient, and you will receive all necessary information before arrival. The WiFi name and password are located on the back of the router.



The Neighborhood:

The house is located in the quiet and charming village of Sørvágur on the island of Vágar. This island is home to some of the most famous sights in the Faroe Islands. Just a short drive away, you’ll find the breathtaking Lake Sørvágsvatn, where the “floating lake” illusion can be experienced, as well as the dramatic Bøsdalafossur waterfall. The picturesque village of Gásadalur and the iconic Múlafossur waterfall are also nearby, offering some of the most photographed views in the country.

Sørvágur itself is peaceful and authentic, giving you a true local experience while still being close to everything you want to see.



Getting Around:

Getting around is easy and convenient. The house is located only 5 minutes from Vágar Airport, making arrival and departure very smooth. The capital, Tórshavn, is just about a 40-minute drive away via a well-maintained road and subsea tunnel, allowing you to explore the city, restaurants, and cultural sites with ease.

Having a car is highly recommended, as it gives you full flexibility to explore Vágar and beyond. From the house, you can quickly reach major attractions like Sørvágsvatn, Gásadalur, and Bøur within 10–20 minutes. The Faroe Islands have excellent road infrastructure, and driving is one of the best ways to experience the dramatic landscapes, hidden viewpoints, and small villages spread across the islands.

The home is ideal for families, couples, and groups.



Faroese weather changes quickly — bring warm layers and good footwear for hiking.



Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Please respect the house rules and take out trash before departure.

Would you like to arrive a bit earlier or leave a little later? We provide both early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. Please reach out in advance to confirm availability.

It is also possible to order a baby cot and a high chair for an additional fee.
