Great Sorrento Experience

Gaetano the owner is a great host. Picked us up at the train station and took us back when we were leaving. The hotel is small but the room was large and very well maintained. We had a large balcony with a beautiful view of Sorrento. The breakfast was very good, fresh croissants every day, cereal, juice, toast, coffee and tea more than enough to start the day. The road to the hotel is very narrow, if you drive get the smallest car you can find. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Tasso square so no need to drive in Sorrento. We recommend staying here.

Awesome place to stay....Just 5 mins from Sorrento Main Market.....10 mins from Port and Rly Stn.... Peaceful.....Great rooms with kitchen and on top of that.....A awesome owner......He even gave us free ride to/from Railway Station......Breakfast was good and as per request......Will definitely recommend......

Great place, we had a whole apartment to ourself. Self serve breakfast from pre-packaged goodies. A little hard to find - but probable due more to our phone’s map - and a little walk from town. Good, friendly service!

Nice room, very welcoming and helpful staff. Pleasant location away from the main town with great views. Loud dog(s) barking woke us up one night. Breakfast included but only packaged pastries etc from supermarket.

One MUST get the smallest rental car because the road to the site was extremely narrow and we scraped one side mirror on the stone wall. Also many roads are very narrow. Staff was friendly. Had issues with no hot water which was not the fault of the facility, but still unpleasant. Rooster nearby started crowing at 4:30 each day which would wake any light sleeper.

Nice b& b with great people

Hi. It was great, the b&b is nice and clean and the people are great. 10+ . They are super friendly and helpfull, go out of their way to help you, at any hour. The room is basic but clean, bathroom the same. Breakfast is served in the room, same every day, croissant, gem, some bread... The location is great, 5-10 min from Taso square, area quiet and safe. I was pleasantly surprised and the price was more than ok. Hopefully i’ll come back :)

Nice B&B with a walk to access

This was a lovely B&B with caring staff who brought us our "breakfast" the night before we had scheduled a tour earlier than their normal breakfast was served. You should know that this is about 350 vertical feet and about 0.8 miles up the hill from the Sorrento square. The last several hundred yards are through a very narrow stone road that a standard size vehicle could not pass. So you would either need to arrange for some smaller vehicle (the B&B could provide) or haul the luggage yourself. Great to wake up with the dogs and roosters!

When we arrived they didn’t make our booking and we didn’t have a room.The support team of Hotels.com connected with the lady by phone and found there was a booking the hotel didn't make it.Anyway as a solution the hotel should`ve found another room and we shouldn’t do and pay anything.OK but it wasn’t like that.We lost 1 hour (even in a hurry for booked trip to Pompeii),they offered us a hotel and said that we won`t pay bigger price than what we have booked.We insist to show the hotel than trying to find it(they didn`t propose that).They drived with us to the hotel and left us there to the other owners without any explanation to us. The other hotel was 5 kilometers away.We had to pay a higher price for the room,which we understood in the next morning after we've slept in the new hotel.The “Sorrento Experience” have called to the girl(not to us) and has lied her that our booking is canceled.A really bad people!The girl from the other hotel was also very confused and tried to explain to us not to bother with this rude people and not to get disappointed from Sorrento.The new hotel was B&B Bed & Lemons.It was very nice,with huge Lemon Garden.This is a hotel with very kind people who are preparing a lemon juice and cake for welcoming.If you are by car you should really see and sleep in this place,it’s amazing with a “feel like home” atmosphere. Stay away from “Sorrento Experience” they can really ruin your vacation.

Stayed for one night and was very satisfied with the hotel also the staff, when we arrived we received a tray of drinks and cakes which was a nice touch after a long drive. staff helped with local maps and directions. would recommend this home stay. One thing I would mention road to hotel is very narrow.

Enjoyable visit to Sorrento

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sorrento Experience. This was our first visit to the town and Roberto, Anna and all the staff were very helpful, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was of large size with a well equipped en-suite. There was a full size fridge and air conditioner. We overlooked a grove of olive and lemon trees with Naples Bay in the distance. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk to the town centre of Sorrento with options of restaurants closer by as well. Excellent value for money!

Amazing value at the Sorrento experience

Sorrento is a great place to visit loads of good value restaurants.Use local transport the buses and trains are cheap and very frequent There is a great beach at Maerea Grande the sun beds are the cheapest in Sorrento the atmosphere is great .

Hotel only has 3 rooms. The room I was in had a fabulous balcony. I don't think the other rooms had balconies. Room was large with a queen bed and a single bed. Quite nice and quiet area. Breakfast very plain. Current manager is fabulous. Very friendly and gave great advice on local sights and such. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and 15 from main square. Not bad but need to go up a narrow alley. Seemed very safe but I wasn't out really late at night. Sorrento is beautiful!! Definitely don't want to miss it and a great stepping off point for all areas on Amalfi coast and Pompeii.

Great, friendly, family-run establishment!

So nice to have the "pick-up" from train station service, and be driven through the quaint and charming side roads to the comfortable ammenities of the Hotel. Very quiet and restful environment, and away from main tourist hustle and bustle. Sure appreciated the service and opportunity to stay over, and serve-yourself breakfast selection was large and fresh.
