Good location but in need of some tlc

Location and view were great. Deluxe room was a bit disappointing. It needed some tlc and a thorough clean. Headboard, lamp, top of fridge were covered in dust, kitchen island, bottom of shower door needed cleaning as well as blinds especially ones near hot tub. This put us off using the hot tub which attracted us to the room in the first place. The bed side table was damaged and wallpaper was missing in places. I struggled with the toilet and shower door as they were heavy duty glass. The key had to be left outside of the room in order for the electricity to work. Hot tub was turned on from the mains. It just looked unsafe. The balcony needed a tidy and the used shower sponge and half used toothpaste wasn’t very inviting. Not sure we’d stay again unless it was tidied up again. Free parking.

Great Location

Great trip to Sokcho and Seoraksan. Esher House was nice. Location right by the beach was fantastic. The room was a bit dated, but had everything we needed, to include a small kitchen with cooking utensils. The biggest drawback was that the doors between the kitchen area and the bedroom were missing, so everyone basically had to get up at the same time. Overall, I'd stay here again.

Two queen beds. Fitted for a family.

Our room was the last one that night and thus overpriced. Paid about $130 for the room with two queen beds and partial view. Since it was raining I can't confirm the view. The room is big enough for a family of four r, Has basic kitchen supplies and a rice cooker. I didn't care for the blanket as I'm more of a cotton person. The blanket wasn't covered in duvet but it seems like they wash them. The room was over heated and I couldn't figure out how to lower the heat (didn't have a remote) and nobody was at the front desk at late hours. I didn't want to wake the family who runs the business. We were also stuck with a mosquito that kept me up all night. Obviously nobodies fault.

Spacious room but a lot of mosquitoes. There is no friendly "Ms. Hana" like a lot of reviews here, the reception is a man, he can speak a little English and can't help you much on sigh seeing. The room is okey to stay but not as good as the reviews on this or tripavisor

Fine. Nothing to rave about.

All the positive reviews for this pension involve the owner, Hana. However, we didn't meet, or see, her. As a result, there was no walk-thru or description of the amenities. (We arrived late at night, so perhaps that step was skipped for us.) Several times there was no one at the front desk, so we couldn't ask for recommendations or get maps. There was also no breakfast, as indicated in reviews. Overall, if you are comfortable navigating Korea on your own, then this pension is fine. We had the hotel call a cab for us to get to Seoraksan, and we researched dining options on our own. It was fine, but not worthy of the glowing reviews on this (and other) sites. The one positive is that the desk clerk drove us to the bus station on our last day, since I think he realized that the next bus was leaving soon.

Surpassed the Highest Expectations

Hana was an amazing guest. You can tell she takes great pride in her place as she's always trying to make her guests happy. When we checked in she gave us a list of places to go eat nearby and told us where to go. She even helped us order a pizza one night. Don't hesitate to book this place as it's a very nice unit with a solid interior design. The place looks just as good as the photos.

Nice Stay!

We had a very good time at this hotel. The room is spacious with a nice view to the ocean, and it has a small kitchen area with everything you need to make a simple meal. The location is perfect: The seafood market and the bus stop to Sorak mountain are only 10-minute walk away Going to the bus terminal costs only about $3 by taxi. The ladies who own/manage the place are super friendly, helpful and caring. We traveled with our 5 year old son and he had a blast! Don't expect Sokcho to be international as Seoul. All street signs are in Korean. You need to speak and read some Korean to get around.

Great Hospitality in a great Seaside Location

This great little pension in located in a quiet part of Sokcho and is only 100m from the beach. We took the standard room and it was large and comfortable and decorated in Korean style. Even though it is side-on to the beach you still get great views of the sea. The room contains a kitchenette (with 1 cooker), big fridge, table and chairs, big flat screen TV, spacious bathroom. There is a water cooler upstairs where you can get filtered water and a microwave you can use. The proprietor was called Hana and she spoke good english and is super helpful and hospitable. She greeted us as we drove up the road and showed us where to park and even waved us goodbye when we left. She also provided local maps and told us about local restaurants and showed us how to use the controls in the room. They also provide a very nice breakfast which they bring to your room. It is a pleasant and relaxing place to stay and when you are tired of the beach it is only 20mins to beautiful Seoraksan Mountain.

Great Pension House at Sokcho!

This was my first visit to Sokcho Beach, and I had the pleasure of staying in the Superior Room and a Family Room (2 reservations). Hana, was the owner, and was sooo hands on! She helped in every way possible to make my stay more comfortable. The room was a perfect size, great views of the ocean, wonderful bed, and the homemade breakfast each morning was so delicious! It definitely was a First Class Breakfast! I will definitely stay there again!

가격 비례.. 그닥..... 구비되어있는 식기가 너무 더러웠음. 옛날 모텔 느낌이 남, 복도나 입구등에 cctv가 없어서 보안에 취약한듯.

에쉐르 하우스....걸어서 바다 보러가기 좋았습니다

가족 여행으로 간 속초 에쉐르 하우스 펜션 숙소에 짐을 풀고 바다로 나갈때 걸어서 나가 시간을 보내는등 편의적인 부분이 만족스러웠던 숙소, 화장실등 넓어서 사용하기도 편했습니다. 대체로 만족하고 잘 사용하고 귀가했는데 한가지 좀 불편했던 부분은 베개에서 냄새가 나서 잠을 자기가 좀 어려웠습니다 배게로 인해 전체적인 만족감이 좀 떨어졌어요, 솔직히 그렇게 저렴한 가격으로 숙박 했다고는 생각 안드네요....

홈페이지사진을 너무 믿지 마세요...문을 정방향으로 설치하지 않아,,문이 겹쳐,,짐을 옮기기 불편하고, 화장실에서 냄새도 나고, 아이가..밤새 가려워서..잠을 설쳤어요,,(이불과 침대가 편하지 않았던것 같아요.)..환기가 잘 되지 않은 구조여서 그런지..공기가 탁했어요... 외옹치해변 가까운거 말고는,,..시설대비..가격을 너무 높게 받으시는듯,,,,

가격대비 좋았습니다. 바로 앞에 조용한 해변이 있고, 정면이로 해변이 보이지 않지만 발코니에서는 보입니다. 침대가 높은편이며, 매트리스가 너무 말랑해서 허리가 좀 아팠습니다. 아주 깔끔한 편은 아니지만, 청결도도 나쁘지는 않습니다. 기본적으로 제공해주는 수건도 깨끗해서 만족스러웠습니다. 방마다 공유기가 있어서 와이파이도 아주 잘되고, TV시청도 문제 없습니다. 나중에 기회가 된다면 다시 찾을 의향이 있습니다.
