Whistlepunk 21 Great Family Retreat - Lower Level, Ski in / out

Welcome to our family retreat. Come and see what our family have enjoyed these past years.

A large open space condo, beam ceilings, wood paneling and carpet for the grand kids to crawl on. A "real" fireplace to curl up by, dining room table for family meals and a large kitchen you can actually cook in.

And skiing / boarding, direct access to the Central Basin slopes, stone's throw to the Western Territory.

Come stay with us and experience what we have enjoyed these past 40 years.

About the Condo:

The condo consists of a great room housing the dining and living areas. A large stone-faced fireplace and a sliding glass door leading to the condo's balcony is at one end of the great room. At the other end is a full kitchen with plenty of counterspace and a breakfast bar with seating for four.

In between is a dining area with a large formal table with seating for eight (six chairs and a bench - located in the master bedroom). The living area contains overstuffed furniture perfect to curl-up on. Flat screen TV, wooden coffee and end tables, lamps, etc. all centered around the wood burning fireplace.

Off the great room is the master bedroom with its King bed and on-suite bath. Also, both a full hall bath and second bedroom with two double beds are located off the great room.
The condo is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. The bathroom offers a jetted tub and hair dryers. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and an ironing board.

We love the location of Wistlepunk 21, and the wood burning fireplace is always nice after a long day of skiing.

We received an email back from host once inquiring about the bedrooms making sure there truly was a master plus another bedroom because the pictures posted were unclear. There wasn’t any host interaction from that other than basic check in and checkout instructions. We even texted the host as requested upon checkout but didn’t receive a response. The location was perfect! However, we felt the whole place was extremely outdated and needed repairs for the price we paid. There were finger prints on glass door, microwave and crumbs on kitchen floor. Dishes from previous tenants were left in dishwasher but clean. However, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean which was a plus. Porch door had issues and snow came inside the house. The main door also was in need of repair and had a crack. The lamp shade in the living room was stained and falling apart. Another lamp in the living room was broken and leaning to the side. We put both items in a closet to make the room look nicer. The fire place also has a glass pane missing.

This was exactly the space we needed escape the heat for a bit this summer. We appreciated being able to bring our dog to hike with us and location was very convenient to the village. Hope to be back in the winter someday!

The property was clean and exactly what we needed for our long weekend to snowshoe. A couple lights weren’t working and I reached out to the host via email and text and never heard back from them our entire stay. Other than that, I would stay here again.

Whistlepunk 21 ski vacation

It was great to be able to ski right from the condo back door to the ski slope in the AM. The setting was beautiful too. Only disappointing things were the oven did not work right so meals had to be heated individually in the microwave on plates which became excessively hot in the microwave. Also, I was not given an access code until 3 days before check-in which caused some anxiety as I like to have things planned out in advance.

Great pet-friendly option at Snowshoe

Very cozy and spacious at the same time. We had six adults and several small dogs with us, the location was pretty much ski in/out and everyone was pleased with the lodging. Definitely a good choice if you've got a family and pets.

I personally appriciated the cat firendliness, i wasnt able to leave my kitten home & there were hardly any areas on the mountain top that allowed cats (the price for it was super affordable too!) Beautiful location, private parking, very quiet, and loved the indoor fireplace with ample firewood & kindling right across the parking lot. Also a huge plus was the jetted bathtub, it was awesome! If your visiting the area i would grealty recommend this place.
