Devine spread for breakfast. And I eat healthy. Lots of delicious, meats, cheeses,eggs, pastries etc. Anything you could want.
Brundum's lives up to its historic hotel atmosphere with delightful reception rooms to relax with a cocktail.
Don't be afraid of the shared toilet. There are several placed conveniently with plenty of hot water
The restaurant is white tablecloths and white attired waiters serving delicious cuisine

Steeped in history

Definitely worth a stay if you like to be in a place steeped in history. A historic hotel that’s been a social focal point of the skagen artist colony. The restaurant is equally historic with an old-style traditional menu and waiters (flambéed deserts etc) The bedrooms are small, cute, with old fashioned interior, as it’s a old house the walls are thin and floors creak. With Most rooms you only have a sink and share the bathrooms, however there a plenty and clean too. Cleanliness could be improved we had some dust under the bed and found a sock from a previous occupant, but the rest was clean and fresh. Certainly would stay again.

Our stay at Brøndums was excellent as usual

As usual our stay at Brøndums was excellent despite the covid19 circumstances. The restaurant served a superb dinner for us and the breakfast in the garden was very nice as usual. We can't wait for next year's visit.

I really wanted to like this hotel. We came for my husband’s birthday but it just wasn’t for us. We got put in the Admiralgaarden annex a walk up the road and it was a shabby almost haunted looking place that needed some serious money spent on it. No facilities there at all so no tv room or place to sit. The room was sold as a family room but consisted of one double room with wardrobe and another small room with a very low z single bed. No kettle, no tv, no radio no dressing table. We struggled as a family. It was not family friendly at all. Thank goodness we brought a pack of cards to keep us all amused. Breakfast was nice but they were clearing away and weren’t refilling so we had to keep asking as no coffee or milk or water available by the time we arrived. The lady on reception was lovely but I felt the rest a bit abrupt. It’s trading on the Skagen painters names and its a real shame as it could be exquisite with some money spent (the meal costs were eye watering even by Danish standards and we couldn’t justify spending over £20 on child meals and over £40 on main meals!).

Over priced, basic, small, run down, terrible ‘customer service ‘ The only good thing was the breakfast. Would highly recommend to book somewhere else. We had booked for two nights, checked out after the first as there was NO way we were spending another night there. Very disappointing.
