Staying here for a week was a great decision. Not only is the property comfortable and spacious, it’s walking distant to some amazing areas around Singapore. The only downside was the lack of sound proofing. You can hear every conversation and footstep in the hallway and all the movements in the room next door. That being said, I still really enjoyed my time here. The access to all of the cafes, restaurants and boutique stores on the property is a major plus. Coffee from PPP every day was a highlight and there’s a supermarket just downstairs which is super handy

Alma House is such a unique place to stay — a beautifully converted former school, complete with a doorbell that still sounds like the old school bells! The location is fantastic, with great cafes, restaurants and shops, plus a Cold Storage super market right downstairs for convenience. The staff were friendly and responsive via WhatsApp, which made everything easy. The in-room laundry in the Studio was a lifesaver on hot days, and while rooms are only cleaned on Tuesdays and Fridays, we were able to request fresh towels without any hassle. River Valley has a lovely local feel — tucked away just enough for peace and quiet, but still within a 15-minute walk to Orchard Road. Just a heads-up: it’s not super close to an MRT station, so if public transport is your main mode of travel, you’ll need to factor that in.

We enjoyed our stay at Alma, very clean and the family room we booked had lots of room. Great bathroom and bedrooms. Quite a way from MTR but they do offer a free shuttle.

Stayed for 2months while transitioning to new accommodation. Love the New Bahru area. While living/working solo, has a great buzz and easy walk to For Canning MRT and the riverfront for exercise. Excellent apartment, just big enough, comfortable and everything you need.

There's a supermarket downstairs, the reception is very friendly and helpful, alot western food downstairs and bars, a very unique vibe, and for transport there's free shuttle bus to fort canning mrt and orchard everyday. The room is clean and nicely maintained. excellent service at reception.

Clean comfortable and convenient

Very comfortable and convenient stay overall. The location is good with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Public transport is a bit away ( nearest MRT was over 750m away). The place has lots of character and cool vibes. Would have been excellent if they had coffee makers in the room.

Very convenient location, easy walk to Riverside dining bars and shopping and a short taxi ride to most other places. There are restaurants and a grocery shop right down stairs. The newish room is a reasonable size and a good bed but is not quite up to it for the longer stays. There are simple things like providing dishcloths and tea towels and fresh towels more regularly to complete lack of storage for and food and an extremely tiny fridge in the kitchen area and very limited storage for clothes and bags and a poor excuse for a couch. 4 stars because of the location and the room is ok but not good, let down by poor design. Do really appreciate the combination washer dryer.

Loved our stay at Alma House. We didn’t know when we booked that the shopping center the hotel is in is the new hip area of town. The restaurants were fantastic! And there is a popular playground downstairs that our little one loved and played in every day. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, the little apartment has everything you need — and you never run out of hot water 🤗

I recently stayed at Alma House, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Very nice accommodation at a reasonable price. Easy walk (about 10 minutes) to Metro Blue Line Stop (Fort Canning). Quiet area with lots of dining options at the building and also at nearby Robertson Walk. Suggest some enhancements to the minimalistic design to the apartment room (more wall hooks for hanging towels, etc., some additional dish ware and glassware in kitchenette, addition of a narrow table against TV wall for more horizontal space for charging tablets, phones, etc).

This is a very well designed & practical place to stay. The kitchenette room was excellent, because it included a washer/dryer - tho it took 5h vs 1.5h to do a load of laundry 😂 - but still better than going to a laundromat. The room was very comfortable & quiet with great bed, decent A/C, kitchen, furniture & bathroom. What makes this hotel great is its very spacious and nicely air conditioned working lobby area with individual work tables, sofas and shared tables where you can get work done or have a meeting. Here, you can order some basic food and drinks while you work & the price is reasonable. There is also a supermarket downstairs as well, which makes it convenient for food options. There are several restaurants in the New Bahru complex which seem v. good (tho a bit pricey) like Dearborn & PPP Coffee, but being very popular they were frequently crowded. However take a right turn on Kim Yam Rd when you exit the complex, keep walking straight for about 4-6 mins and you will basically be at Robertson Quay/ Singapore river area along with all of it’s sights & dining options. You can also take a left and follow Martin Place straight to the M-Social hotel/Singapore river which takes a few minutes more. There is a very decent breakfast buffet here. 2 MRTs nearby within 10-15m walk - Fort Canning & Great World (for Orchard Rd 1 stop away) The staff are v. friendly, attentive, kind & make you feel special 😊 Highly recommend this place.

Great location

I would like to rate between “good” and “excellent”. This property was brilliantly located for proximity to the Singapore River. Some great eateries nearby. Very minimalist decor - lobby area very comfortable and staff super friendly and welcoming. Room-apartment has the basics . We stayed for a week in a 2 bedroomed place. Bathroom does not seem to ventilate all that well. Although dishwashing soap was provided no dish cloth or dish scrubber was. When queried we were given a scrubber and told nothing else was needed. Which does leave a question about how clean the dishes in the apartment actually are. An iron and ironing board was provided on request. We did not use the washing machine so cannot comment. Being above a vibrant restaurant area and supermarket has the plus of everything nearby but the negative of noise both at night from people and in the morning from supermarket delivery. Otherwise - clean, roomy, good shower (does wet the entire bathroom). Would we stay again…. Strong positive

舒適，乾淨，寧靜，可惜離MRT頗遠，不行要15-20分鐘。新加坡Call Grab就好方便。 我地6人出行，兩間房間，其中一間升級咗家庭房，我地可以坐埋一齊煮早餐食，好似屋企咁樣。另外，最正係每間房間都有洗衣乾衣一體機，夜晚訓覺前拎衫去洗，第二日就可以拎出乾嘅衫。樓下有超市，有小朋友玩嘅公園仔，一流。
