La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Redding

"Checking in (with Izzy) was great. I went back to the front desk after checking in to ask Izzy some questions. There were several other people in front of me. Izzy took appropriate time with each person, saying several times to those of waiting, "Thanks for your patience. I'll be with you as soon as I can." I much appreciated his saying that. He was very professional and personable.
Three negatives:
1) The 1st floor ice machine didn't work. There was no note of apology for the inconvenience. There was no note saying the only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor. We had to go to the front desk to ask.
2) The TV had only 6 channels. There was no local or world news channels or any channels usually offered by other hotels.
3) We always ask for a receipt to be printed when we check out. La Quinta gave us essentially a blank piece of paper. No charges were shown. On this trip we stayed at two other hotels. We got receipts showing all charges. All the hotels we've stayed in on past trips have all given us receipts showing all charges. Not here.
We don't recommend this particular La Quinta location. In our future travels, in fact, we will not stay at any La Quinta in other locations. "
